To be sure it doesn't look much from outside, but it's very comfortable and welcoming inside. The bar is especially cosy. All our meals (there were 4 of us) were outstanding, notably the belly pork for the main, and the chicory creme brulee pud. And we musn't forget the beautiful home made bread. The service was very friendly and efficient,... More

The soups were really special, and were gluten free except if you wanted the wanton. Coffee had beautiful petit fours which were excellent. The... More

Excellent, had a lovely lunch here. Friend is on gluten free diet and they were able to give her soup and home made bread. Very friendly relaxed staff too.

Our first visit and certainly not our last. A lovely homely atmosphere that belies excellent cuisine. Great for game and lovely wine to go with it. Superb soup and lovely home-made bread. A wonderful experience all round.

I'm so glad that I don't live in Muthill, for if I did, I'd spend every penny I have, eating at the Barley Bree. This was our second visit here, and if possible, it was even better than our first. Everything, from the gorgeous decor, to the delightful waitress, is a joy.....and the food is just fantastic. Beautifully presented, and... More

We have visited the Barley Bree a number of times, staying over in this "restaurant with rooms" and we now make a point of going there whenever we visit Scotland. It is a little gem. Outstanding cuisine, friendly atmosphere and good service. I had a grouse starter which was superb and the rest of the meal did not disappoint. A... More
