After a morning on the nearby beach, my group were hungry enough to eat a scabby cat. Sadly, we realised that Dornoch seems to closes in October and it was very difficult to find somewhere to lunch. Very strange. The Dornoch Inn is the sort of place that you might pop your head round the door and decide to return... More

My First port of call in Dornoch when on holiday this month. Had a good reception and a beer. Good choice of whisky at a fair price

Had lunch here last week. It was fine, service was good, food was absolutely fine, it's quite a nice place to sit and was pretty reasonably priced. I would probably go again next time I visit Dornoch, but for me it just missed a certain sparkle. Definitely good enough to recommend as ok, just don't expect to be blown away.

From the warm welcome by the proprietor to the generous portions everything about this place was just perfect. It may not look like the coolest kid on the block, but the homely feel just adds to the charm. Go - you won't be disappointed!

12 of us plus Baxter wanted somewhere dog friendly to meet for lunch....after a bit of research this place was chosen. They would take the dog so that was fine. A little but confused when we all arrived, took a while to get settled then were told that dog couldn't stay. It's only the downstairs that's dog friendly, ok we'll... More

Called in here for lunch during our National Holidays trip. The restaurant was upstairs and plenty of seating that was not cramped. Tables nicely laid out and clean. Pleasant staff who were very cheerful, polite and quick. The Steak and Ale Pie was fabulous, really recommend you try it. Came away replete and happy. A visit definitely recommended.

Family of 10 visited on weekend. Meals were not exciting, lots of food not available. Food bland. Not at all tempted to go ahead and order dessert. Staff pleasant. Atmosphere dull.
