We were two vegetarians and two omnivores. Brunch was so good the first day, and the menu so inviting, that we went back the next day to try other things. We were not disappointed! Very reasonably priced (less than £14 per person, with drinks), and we arrived hungry and left stuffed. The staff are really lovely, as well.

What a fantastic find! Lovely little cafe with a huge character. We stopped here for a take out coffee and a raw, vegan cake which was rich and scrumptious. Fortunately we were staying nearby on holiday and on the Saturday night were able to enjoy their wood burning oven pizza (1 vegan, 1 vegetarian) - scrummy! Highly recommend a visit to this cafe.

Wow wow wow! This cafe is a hidden gem in the highlands. It’s assessable with on-site parking and from the outside looks like a small house but inside it’s quirky and cosy. The decor is cute inside and has a large cake display. Myself and my friend visited for the first time today, the staff were very lovely, friendly and welcoming. The waitress bought over some water and told us about the menu. The menu was a good size with plenty of choice with lots of vegan options which is great to see. I ordered a double shot cappuccino which was 10/10. For the meals, I can honestly say it was the best lunch we have had in a cafe in the highlands to date and trust me, we have tried a lot of cafes. Everything was so fresh and of the best quality, everything about the meal was flawless, to be honest the whole visit was flawless. Highly recommend the french toast and the haggis toastie. We will defiantly be making the trip from Inverness often for lunch. If you stumble across this cafe, please try it because you will not be disappointed at all. Highly highly recommend!

This was a quick lunch stop after visiting nearby Urquhart castle and boy was it good! Pretty cafe with seating inside and outside. Lots of choice with a good range of drinks including smoothies. We had smashed avo on toast and various toasties. My vegan toastie had beetroot and vegan mozzarella, this was served with a homemade bowl of broccoli and courgette soup, absolutely delicious! My fave lunch whilst visiting the Highlands!

Stopped here for a little breakfast after camping locally and was astounded to find some of the finest food in Scotland. Friendly staff served up an amazing plate of French Toast, with perfectly cooked bacon and loaded with fresh berries. A great start to the day!

Called in here before visiting the castle. After a 40 minute wait for soup it arrived and I have to say it was excellent. We repeatedly asked when our food was coming and they kept saying they were busy. Why run a restaurant if you dont expect to be busy but 40mins for soup was not impressive !

We had breakfast and it was the biggest portion of french toast I’ve ever had, it was delicious. Served complete with excellent quality bacon, (again lots of it) and house syrup along with a garnish of fresh sweet berries. Can’t compliment this dish enough. Staff very helpful too. A busy place popular with locals and tourists. Visit if in area.

I ate here a few days ago and absolutely loved it! The cafe has a cute and quirky set up which makes it stand out to any other cafe. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options which is rare for a cafe/restaurant in the Inverness area so I was pleased about that. I had the vegan breakfast option and included homemade beans, avocado, veggie haggis/black pudding and sausages. Was about £10 but there is a lot on the plate. Would definitely come back!

The food at café 82 was incredible, it was so full of flavour and you can tell everything was home made, we had a ham and cheese toastie, soup of the day with fresh homemade bread and two pieces of cake as well as a coffee and tea and freshly squeezed apple and orange juice! Utterly gorgeous. The decor was fab and the place was spotless, the owner was so welcoming and friendly, she even gave me a recipe for the homemade soup we had. Can’t wait to go back and highly recommended.

AMAZING. We had been wild camping for two weeks in the highlands and fancied a nice breakfast on our last morning that wasn’t cooked on our portable gas hob! We were driving past Loch Ness and researched local cafes; this one caught our eye from the photos of other people’s amazing looking food. We stopped off early and the place was empty when we entered but got full very quickly! This place did not disappoint; we both said it was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever eaten. We ordered the full highland brekkie and the French toast. Generous portion sizes, amazing flavours, excellent presentation, cannot fault it. If you want great quality good food (a lot of vegan options too) then this is the place to go. Personally, I LOVED the quirky interior and arty decor, inspiration for my own place!!! The staff were absolutely lovely which made it all the better as well, so friendly and chatty. If only we lived close so could visit more often. Overall 10/10. Thanks guys.

Best breakfast I ever had! The full highland breakfast included haggis on which I had reservations but glad I tried it and just worked perfectly with the rest of the fare. Special thanks to the owner and crew who are clearly passionately enjoy the service they provide. The perfect way to start your day in Loch Ness.

My partner and I went here for breakfast on the morning of our wedding and it was such a great pick. So great in fact, that we went here for breakfast the day after our wedding too! Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free, or veggie, vegan, etc. depending on your dietary requirements. Also looks like there is a good mix of healthier/lighter options as well as richer dishes, but it's all great food. We had the cooked highland breakfast and I had one of the smashed avocado breakfasts one day and the maple syrup and bacon pancakes the next which were both delicious. Great fuel if you're heading off on a hike too. Super friendly staff, hand sanitiser on the door as you come in which is good too. Love the decor, and an all-round great vibe. Highly recommend and I know we'll be heading back here for breakfast next time we're in the area!

Myself and my husband went for breakfast on Saturday 1st October. As you can see by my breakfast I am very very fussy. But it was beautiful and I loved the heart shaped toast. My husband had a full Scottish breakfast even though he didn't like the haggis and curried patties (personal choice) he said he had to try them. He reckons the sausages were really tasty and wanted to order more to take away. It's a really homely place and had a cosy fire in the corner. Thank you :)

We stopped on our way up the road not quite sure what to expect and were not disappointed. Burgers were insanely tasty with big portion of fries, service was excellent - really quick and friendly and was really lovely to sit outside in the sun. Thanks for a lovely meal, we’ll definitely come by again.

We visited twice; once at the start of our week for lunch and on our last day for brunch. The food is excellent with plenty of healthy options as well as a full Scottish breakfast, large portion of french toast with maple syrup and bacon and some great soups and cakes. Don’t be put off by the fact it looks like someone’s house, it probably was in the past but the food and staff make a stop here very worthwhile. Oh and the coffee is pretty good as well.
