I highly recommended this place. The food is fabulous, tasty and delicious. The portion is definitely value for money. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic! Very warm and friendly staff. It's so good, we dined twice a day while we were there. 😉👌 Thank you guys and compliment to the chef.

I was on a highland holiday this week and was based in Fort Augustus. On our last night we wanted to go out for a few drinks and some nice food so had a wander through town during the day and liked the look of the Loch Inn. We intended to go around 8ish but we called to check what... More

Good ambience, young crowd. It's like a traditional drinks place minus the loud noise. Limited seating but one can always stand at the bar. Polite service. This should be on the top of your list if you want to drink in the small town of Fort Augustus.

Called in for a meal while taking family for a drive down Loch Ness, it was our second choice because the first place had finished serving, so glad they had, The Lock Inn will be our first choice now, we had Slow cooked lamb "very tender", Pasta with smoked salmon "really tasty dish", and a Cheese burger "great burger but... Great food here, more impressive than you might expect. Friendly staff and the bar has a great selection of Gin :-) We ate here twice during our stay and were not disappointed, 3 courses and a couple drinks each cost around £65-80 depending on dishes chosen. Fabulous spot!

An excellent place to stop, food was good, well presented and you certainly wouldn't leave hungry. Staff were very welcoming and being a dog friendly establishment was great. We visited several times during our stay in Fort Augustus met some lovely people and would definitely eat there again.

We popped in here for an early dinner when we were on a short break . The food was good and came pipping hot. We sat in the down stairs area which has a fire at one end and a log burner at the other sadly only the fire was lit so the end we were at was not as... More
