All good. Was last here 10 years ago, owners have changed but the food is still great. Current owner very helpful and chatty. I’ll be back!

Ordered takeaway from here. It was good, had better, had worse. It thought it was “decent”. Would recommend.

Vegetable Nan bread had no vegetables in it, but the Nan itself was actually very good & not saturated in oil like many Indian food places. The chicken dansak was superb.

This had new owners in 2018, food improved vastly then. Back now in 2021, now we are allowed to travel and unfortunately this owner has passed away this year, but his son is now running the restaurant & takeaway. Food is still very tasty, starters are...generous, but a bit more meat or prawns in mains would be good. Big change is that they now (only in the last 6 months) have stopped selling alcohol to go with your meal, BYOB is also not allowed. Just to let you know and set the right expectation. We were shocked at first, but stayed, and had excellent food, returned for a 2nd time as food was good, just had wine prior to visit. Recommend, and heard takeaway is also good. Only Indian style restaurant on Islay. P.S. Covid: None of the staff wore masks at any point in the building, not even when serving restaurant customers, not good, and currently illegal in Scotland at time of writing this review. Your risk. We had caught Covid earlier from an unmasked waiter in Edin - Be warnedMore

Ordered a takeaway for 3. My Chicken Dhansak was swimming in oil, had very little chicken and tasted bland and not sweet & sour like a typical Dhansak. The Lemon rice that I had with it was a small portion compared to my friends pilau...rice, hers filled the container as is the norm, mine was around 2/3 full. My friend had a chicken jalfrezi which was also swimming in oil and she said it was also bland and not the rich flavours she usually gets in the same dish. My wife’s Vegetable biryani was ok. Perhaps we caught them on a bad night, but this was poor food, poor portions and very poor value for money. They also appear to have removed my review from their Facebook page.More

Thus was a little gem of a place found to eat whilst on holiday. Great food, great service. Best butter chicken I have ever had. Wish the could deliver to my home or even Upton Park.

we don't normally eat out of our comfort zone, but the food and service were nice and handily a few hundred yards from our bed and breakfast

Had a last minute meal here today as everything was full. Definitely should advertise more as we would haven chosen to come here first! The food was some of the best we have had in any Indian restaurant and the staff were all friendly. Recommend...anyone travelling to Islay to put it on their list as a definite to visitMore

Had a lovely meal here, to be honest we only went because we couldn't get anywhere else, but so glad we did as it was a lovely and reasonably priced meal. Service was very good too. I would definitely recommend.
