Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely cosy pub. We went for dinner after a day outdoors. Fire was going and there was a nice welcoming atmosphere. Great service from Claire who looked after us. Food was great and served quickly.

Another excellent meal at the Keel Row. This time Sunday lunch. We chose the roast beef but there were plenty of other tempting options. The beef was superb and plentiful, lots of interesting vegetables too. We both went for the delicious lemon meringue pie for...dessert but a difficult choice as the other options were also favourites. Staff really pleasant and efficient and we were very impressed by attention to detail.More

This place is run by locals and gives a warm reception and has a good atmosphere especially in the bar (complete with a cosy fire). The restaurant has more of a cafe feel about it but does good food. We came here a couple of...times and enjoyed both. Would definitely return.More

Wow, a wee gem of a place in what was a desert food wise. This community opened enterprise is punching way above its size for the quality of food. Staff are welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic about “ their” establishment.

Had the pleasure of dinner in this fabulous pub and went back the next day for lunch as the food was so good. Lovely friendly atmosphere and fantastic staff. I was lucky enough to be served by Claire, Hannah and Chris during my visits and...they were all so welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely put this pub 1st on my list of places to come again when I return to Mull.More

Brilliant little pub / restaurant with stunning views across the Sound of Iona. Didn't have starters but had 2 fantastic seafood mains, complimented perfectly with a lovely bottle of Viognier. Staff were brilliant, attentive and friendly despite being very busy at the time. Looking forward...to our next visit!More

Are you people who thought it was great speaking about the same place we went to for dinner. I have used the keel row for many many years, and NEVER HAVE WE BEEN SO DISSAPOÍNTED..... I had booked the table back in May for my...husbands birthday dinner. We walked in told them who we were they showed us a table, so we sat down waiting for a waitress to ask if we would like a drink. 30mins later after visiting the bar myself the drink arrived, we had ordered Prosecco which was not properly chilled. Eventually we ordered our meals. Waited a further hour, until they appeared. My husbands steak costing nearly £30 he said was the worst steak he had ever eaten. My pan fried salmon had never seen a pan, it was done under the grill.and my daughter's and my veg were supposed to be seared well they had been boiled within an inch of their lives. As some sort of compensation we were offered a cheese platter, and 2 small bottles of Prosecco. My and my daughters [who is a qualified chef] is that we will never visit again, which is a great shame as it used to be so good. My advice to you prospective customers is BUYER BEWARE. its very amature and slip shod, also the toilets want a really good clean. We were afraid of picking something up.😒More

It was almost as if they hadn't expected to open the day we turned up for lunch. The guy behind the bar taking our order acted like customers were unexpected. The food turned up promptly however and was, at best, ok. My fishcakes were dry...and bland but the green veg was well cooked and tasty. My partner's coleslaw was discoloured and looked like it had been on the plate for a day or two but his chicken burger was okay. Shame, as there is a steady stream of ferry customers to cater for.More

Travelled from Craignure into Finnophert. Stopped off for lunch at a little pub/restaurant named the Keerl Row. What a lovely welcoming atmosphere within and such friendly accomodating staff. Had a bar lunch, I had steak & fries, food was delicious, steak cooked to my requirements,...only complaint, plate seemed a bit under presented...sorry. Had a chat with one of the staff members named Clare. She was really friendly and appeared very knowledgeable about the Island, giving us a few good tips regarding where to find beautiful beaches, the beaches you directed us to were absolutely picturesque. ..thanks for that Clare. All in all.. I would return to this little pub again...loved the relaxed homely atmosphere.More

Stopped off before getting our ferry to Iona and had a cracking lunch. Great service and staff very friendly. Fried chicken burger was delicious and also tried some of our daughters Mac and cheese and delicious again. Nice and filling and worth the money for...sure considering the location. Yet to find the mermaid but our daughter kept her eye out on the boat. Thanks again.More
