Today before we left Isle of Mull we bought a nice cappuccino, 1 croissant, 2 scones and 3 baguettes (tuna, egg and sweet chilli) at The Coffee Pot.
The quality was so good that we want to let you know how happy we were with our purchases. All products were all super fresh and high in quality. When we are back on the Isle of Mull we will definitely visit The Coffee Pot first.
Thanks Laura and team, you are doing excellent!

We popped into the Coffee Pot for coffee and cake at the weekend and were astounded at the large and diverse range of cakes and tray bakes, all of which were home-made by Laura. Everything looked delicious so it was difficult making our choices. Being gluten-intolerant I was delighted to have a number of options to choose from (there were a number of vegan options available too). In the end I opted for the gluten free chocolate and ginger slice, and my husband chose the coffee and walnut cake. Both were excellent. I would have preferred proper mugs/cups for the coffee as I am not a fan of disposables but appreciate that the cafe provides a popular takeaway service.

This little gem sells freshly made stuff such as sandwich baguettes and drinks to take away. There are a few seats outside and we were lucky enough to have good weather to take advantage of them.
The bacon baguette I had was the best ever and all of my family enjoyed their choices. Great find.

Was recommended to us by a Mull resident and it definitely was the best bakery we found there and also had the nicest staff (although almost everyone on Mull is super-nice!). We got different things each time we stopped - cake, scones, sandwiches, ice cream and sorbet. Everything was exceptionally good and, as I said, the people who work there are so cheerful and helpful. So glad we found it!

We found this lovely cake shop by chance en route to the Staffs island trip from Ulva, and what a find. Utterly lovely people and the cakes, homemade by Laura, were divine. We planned on just sharing a slice of courgette and lime, but it was so good we went back and had a slice of Laura’s recommendation; Victoria sponge. If you want an indication of the quality of the cakes, my wife is a fine baker and very selective, and she ate it all very happily! Also, we’ve built in 30 mins extra into our journey back to the mainland ferry today to stop off for cake once more!!!
If you near, it’s well worth the detour. Top cake and a top welcome 😊

Definitely a 5 star.
What a gem of a place. The food served there is all freshly baked. Baguettes sausage rolls, quiche, various sponge cakes and too many tray bakes to mention. There is also a cake box outside, so if you just want a cake for your afternoon tea or when it's closed, you can still have your cake and eat it
Also the owner and her staff are very friendly and obliging. A must visit when on Mull.

Visited here after a wild swim whilst on holiday. We were in need of some fuel and boy are we glad we stopped off.
The smell of freshly baked shortbread was beautiful as we walked in, I ordered a slice of coffee cake and a flat white - both delicious! My Dad ordered a lemon and blueberry cake and my brothers a raspberry ripple ice cream and a millionaires shortbread, one very happy family eating them on the way to our next campsite!
Lovely service too, great to meet Laura who bakes the cakes. Recommend if you’re in the area!

We have sampled Laura’s baking many times. All homemade cakes are delicious and this year we tried the filled baguettes, soup and salad boxes for lunch, all were freshly made and beautiful. Try the sausage rolls and the cheese and bacon scones, wow.

Our family (including two kids under 11) drove from
Gruline during vacation to sample some treats fro
Laura’s shop. We had tomato chutney baguettes, courgette and lime cake (so moist), boozy tiffins, fresh ice cream and warm drinks. The staff was lovely and very accommodating with our kids and our repeated trips to register. We have order a couple boxes of assorted tray bales to go later this week for a family party. What a perfect spot for eating delicious food and watching the world go by. Love it!
Plus my kiddo was very excited by the Honesty Caje box back. Delicious!

Just returned from 2 weeks on Mull, made extra special by our daily treats from The Coffee Pot! Laura is very welcoming and works tirelessly to provide the best home baking. Lemon & blueberry scones, courgette & lime cake, parsnip & ginger cake, etc. etc - all delicious and believe me, we’ve sampled a lot! There are also freshly baked baguettes, tray bakes, ice cream and Mull produce. Laura has recently added a CakeBox at the side of the property where you can buy cakes if the Coffee Pot is closed. We can’t wait for our next visit!

We didn't visit the café in Salen but found them at a stall in the Monday Makers Market at Tobermory harbour. They had a great selection of cakes including safely wrapped Gluten free options so we had a box of four including gluten free. Its all home baking from family recipes, lovely.

Passing through Salen and knowing the reputation this venue had - well it would have been rude not to stop...we'll that's what I told the misses anyway!
Superb array of home made food for sale, elected for chocolate brownie x2 (of course), lemon & poppy seed sponge and a chocolate & orange flapjack, plus 2 teas which cane to £11.30.
The cakes were wonderful, full of flavour and ever so fresh.
Highly recommended

Absolutely love the food Laura makes at the Coffee Pot. We’ve tried most of the other places. You can’t beat food or the variety that Laura creates. The service and the atmosphere is exceptional. She now has a Cake Box outside so you can buy cakes even when closed.
We stayed in the flat upstairs and we are returning in August. Can’t wait to sample the food again.😁

On a damp day on the way back to Craignure, we almost missed Coffee Pot. We took pot luck and managed to get the last remaining table.
This is a hidden gem; good options for lunch or just coffee and cake, and it is very delicious. Service was very good and you felt the staff were genuinely pleased to see you.
And parking is considerably less stressful than in Tobermory.

We stopped by towards closing time for a drink and snack having been stranded in our broken-down car for most of the day near Killiechronan while waiting for rescue by the RAC. When we arrived we were very much in need of a drink and something to eat. The Coffee Pot offers quality, homemade baking, pies, sausage rolls, etc. Such a treat to be able to buy properly handmade delights! We had a sausage roll and a fruit scone - both excellent. Only disappointment was the quality of the coffee - it was weak and lacked body. That said though, we'd definitely return for the home produce and the ambience and would recommend a visit!

Thank you for your review and lovely comments, we are pleased that you enjoyed the food that you sampled and I hope you managed to get your vehicle sorted. I am sorry that you were disappointed with your coffee. Our coffee is not normally weak and lacking body so I can only apologise. If you are passing through Salen again please call in and we will be very happy to give you two replacement coffees. Best wishes, Laura
