The food here was faultless. I can recommend the cod risotto and the lamb and, if you want to treat yourself further, opt for the sticky toffee with popcorn ice cream. Excellent food in a beautiful setting with superb service.

From start to finish it was lovely and not very expensive. All the menu choices were tempting but we settled on seafood stew and trio of salmon as entrees both very different and vety yummy. For mains the salmon and crab gnocchi and the pork belly and scallops both were fresh and flavourful with lovely local ingredients. Overall couldnt fault... More

This started off as a lovely night in a cosy restaurant with friendly staff. Our meals were quite good. Sadly, we waited for nearly 25 minutes after finishing our mains without any attention whatsoever. A table behind us, who was seated, served, and finished their meals after us, had their table cleared and check in hand while we sat staring... More

This was by far the best meal we had in Skye (including the famous 3 Chimneys restaurant!). Everything was delicious and full of flavour. Service was excellent.

The salmon was the most amazing salmon I've ever eaten. My spouse is celiac and the staff and chef were really helpful about personalizing the items on the menu to be gluten free. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy. Cannot wait to visit this place again!

We stumbled into this place on a very wet day. We had tried a few other restaurants which were full so we were grateful for a table. The menu was reassuringly short. Soup, Cullen Skink, Frittata, Burger and maybe one other choice.Perfect for lunch. We had leek and potato soup, Cullen Skink and a burger. They were all homemade and... More

The restaurant is linked to the Merchant bar where you relax with locally brewed ales from Skye brewery prior to walking through to the restaurant. The restaurant only has a limited number of covers and is popular, so booking a table is a must. Once you experience the food you find out why! They have taken the very best of... More

The food in this place is awesome. Staff are friendly and helpful. Decor is rustic with a modern twist. Facilities are modern and spotless. Did I mention the food is awesome? OK, so it's not cheap...but treat yourself. You won't regret it.

I order menu of the day, Scallop and Pork Belly and my family order Salmon. They were very yummy food. And I just found that this restaurant was introduced by Michelin 2017. If you come to Portree, you must come and try !!

I took my 88 and 85 year old parents who both have dementia to this restaurant last week. We were made most unwelcome because we arrive 10 minutes too early! When my food came I could hardly swallow for the lump in my throat. There was absolutely no respect shown to my Mum and Dad which I thought was disgusting.... More
