They have lots of craft fairs in this building. Just off the main road, it's quite easy to find. Nice sandwiches and cakes. Pop in and have a look when you're in the area - staff are very friendly.

We had lunch here on a tour with Donald Nicolson (Skye Scenic Tours) and it was lovely! Unassuming, totally the opposite of commercial. It was like being invited to someone's home. They were fixing up the place when we were there but that only added...More

We loved our visit to the cafe. I had a hearty soup and my daughter had a toastie. We left loaded up with freshly backed goods and some terrific wollen socks from the market that was also on in the hall that day. Staff were...More

This was the second time we had visited on a Saturday, early afternoon, only to find it closed, despite all the signs saying it was open. Very disappointed, and will definitely not risk another pointless visit.

It's an old church hall like place run by volunteers. They are lovely and they go out of their way to make sure their visitors are well catered for with effortless charm. This is the best place for a proper china cup of proper tea...More

Visited the craft fare here but did not have tea. Purse was a lot lighter when I came out after having met some lovely crafters but that's some Christma's pressies sorted! Beautiful setting.

We were staying locally so decided to pop in to the Memorial Hall for lunch one day. The toasties and tea, served in proper tea cups, were just what we wanted but the main attraction of this cafe is the friendly atmosphere. We very much...More

We were on a full day tour with Donald of Skye Scenic Tours as the lunch hour approached - Donald gave us a couple of local dining options and we selected the Skeabost Memorial Hall. The Hall was constructed as memorial to the 15 local...More

This is just off the road from Dunvegan to Portree at Skeabost Bridge. Run in the village hall. Lovely home-made cooking with good choice. Excellent for my gluten free daughter. Well worth a visit.

We were starving after sightseeing on Skye all morning and we couldn't wait to get back to Portree for some food, but we saw a sign for this cafe and decided to stop. So glad we did! Excellent food and enjoyed talking to the owners....More

The Memorial Hall is the only one of its kind in Skye and Lochalsh and is dedicated to the Men from the SKEABOST DISTRICT , who fell in the SECOND WORLD WAR and PALESTINE . It was a gift, supplemented by local collections , from Duncan MacLeod of SKEABOST to the People of the Area. It was felt that a Community Hall would be more appropriate than any other form of Memorial. Within the Hall there is a Plaque to the 15 Men who laid down their lives during this time. Today it is still used for the benefit of the people of Skeabost and District . St. Columba's Isle is located in Skeabost just 50 meters from the cafe, at the head of Loch Snizort . The site is not only a sacred burial ground, but was also a major ecclesiastical center on the Isle of Skye, and the seat of the Bishop of the Isles from the 10th up to the 16th century. According to tradition twenty-eight chiefs of the MacNicols or Nicolsons lie buried in holy ground on St. Columba's Isle. This seems to indicate the important role that the MacNicol clan played in the life of the Church, and the trust the Church placed in the chiefs of Clan MacNicol. The Hall is situated off the main Portree to Dunvegan road , the A850 at the Tote Road end
