Whether you're regular dining locals (like my wife and myself) or visitors discovering this rare gem of a small restaurant for the very first time, we are all agreed on its exceptional quality food at VERY affordable prices! From warm greeting to cheery farewell, Morag...More

I feel slightly bad giving this review, as the people in the cafe were friendly and hospitable. The price for what you get however, is very expensive. It's like school dinners in an 80s cafe, and presentation of the food isn't fantastic.

The general shop of Staffin (Staffin stores) also houses a restaurant. Nothing fancy but good food and friendly local people cooking and serving it. A place where you feel at home.

Great food and great service from the lovely Catherine. I had the pork belly, Mary had the lamb, both were excellent, all washed down with the extremely quaffable local Skye ale. Thanks - we'd definitely eat here again if in the area.

This was our second visit to the Kilmartin. We like it because it is not so well-known to the majority of tourists and the cafe supports the local community with jobs and income. This time we had the soup and roll - it was vegetable...More

This place could be so much more. The waiter has had a personality bypass. The cafe is in a glorious location but wowsers do we pay for the privilege? £9 for a Brie and cranberry ciabatta with four tasteless crisps and a side salad 1985...More

No complaints about the food as it was what I've become used to in Scotland.....Average.....we just don't do food well here. Maybe an 'island thing' but +£70 for a quick family lunch is too expensive for me. Two Burgers, two fish meals and a sandwich...More

Almost all shops and many pubs, cafes & restaurants on Skye are dog friendly, in our experience - even some of the posher ones! But if planning a day trip that relies on dog friendliness, do check first online ... or just... More
