No nonsense, no frills, just well cooked good quality and yummy food, thoroughly enjoyed it! However do not accept one of the small tables close to the door, you get a cold blast every time the door is opened.

On a cold day we had a delicious Shepherd's pie. The service was speedy and friendly. The restaurant was warm and cosy and the prices were fair. We would recommend a visit here for good hearty food.
Gordon's Tearoom is a really nice cafe with friendly service. We only had coffee and cake (fabulous fruit loaf) but the hot food we saw being served also looked very good.
On a week end break called in Sunday for late lunch. Ordered 2 toastie one cheese other chilli chicken, not disappointed ample portions with lovely chutney and side salad. Service was good esp as the tea rooms were packed. Wide choice n menu.
