We always visit for a special holiday lunch when staying in Argyll and it’s always spot on with the best seafood. Whole crab is a particular favourite!

Oysters were wonderful and so fresh , great lobster and fish. Good selection of wine. Service was friendly and efficient and well stocked deli next door. I would Highly recommend a stop here for sit in or takeaway

Enjoyed our lunch very much. Good choice of fresh seafood beautifully presented and of the highest quality. Service a wee bit on the slow side but not a problem sitting in the bright comfortable room. Excellent

We were returning to Argyll for a holiday. We decided that on our anniversary, for a treat we would have lunch at the Loch Fyne Fish Bar. We had had our first taste of oysters there about 10 years ago, and a return was over...due. The photos tell the story. A shared starter of smoked mussels. smoked mackerel, smoked salmon and smoked fish, with dill - wonderful. Main course of oyster with Shallot vinegar - excellent. The reason for the visit. Washed down with a wee dram. The dearest meal of the holiday and the best.More

We pre booked for lunch on what turned out to be a very wet and windy day. Staff were very friendly and professional and there was evidence of lots of compliance with the Covid regulations. Starters of six oysters with shallot vinegar and a selection...of smoked mussels, smoked mackerel, smoked salmon, smoked fish with a dill ketchup were served promptly. For main courses we had halibut with a spinach veloute, mushroom compote and fondant potato. The halibut was cooked to perfection. A very generous portion of mussels in cream was the other main course. The meal was completed with a dessert of a chocolate brownie with a blood orange sorbet. If you are in the area and would like fantastic fresh seafood mostly from the adjacent Loch Fyne this is great place to eat.More

Had a late lunch during midweek (table pre-booked). Food was excellent - can highly recommend the seafood linguini + halibut. Staff were very friendly, service was good and there was a good atmosphere. Restaurant also felt very safe regarding Covid regulations. Having visited previously would...definitely call again when in the area.More

Fabulous as always. Staff were their usual friendly and helpful selves, always welcoming and you never feel rushed. Food was spectacular and of course we always have to buy something from the deli before we leave.

Phoned up to try book a table however, we were told there were no tables available. We still decided to make a visit for a takeaway but managed to get seated when we arrived (maybe they keep tables free for walk ins?) The special seafood...platter was great and had a wide varied of shellfish. We shared it between two for a light lunch. Great service, would highly recommend.More
