We ate here recently as a family and were disappointed. The service was slow which if you are waiting with children can be difficult. One of my kids had the kids' mussels which didn't come with bread which seemed a bit miserly as the adult...More

Nice atmosphere, and great food with friendly service. Tables were even made locally with locally soured wood, each table has a plaque with the type of wood and where it was felled. The extensive seafood on the menu if, if not all, then mostly locally...More

You do need to book, even for the bar snack area. This is just such a brilliant place to visit and well worth the visit. I ordered langoustines for starter and had a crab salad for main course. Just first rate and value for money....More

The best scallops I have ever tasted and as my starter excellent mussels in a perfect mariniere broth. The restaurant bar is the village pub too and the regulars and the owners made me most welcome. I got local knowledge about the passenger ferry which...More

Description
Situated in the picturesque village of Tayvallich on the shores of Loch Sween, the Inn overlooks the beautiful natural harbour of Tayvallich bay. At the heart of this small and vibrant community, the Tayvallich Inn has always been a popular meeting place for sailors, holidaymakers, more recently kayakers and all who enjoy our warm hospitality and good food. Established over 30 years ago, the Tayvallich Inn specialises in fresh, locally caught seafood, much of which is landed on our doorstep from the cold, pristine waters of the sound of Jura. Along with seafood we serve other fresh produce, sourcing locally where ever possible.
