We were told mixed reviews about this place so we gave it a chance and we wish we had not. what a poor attempt at running a food establishment. We were a family of 5 and not one of use enjoyed our meal, we were...More

It is difficult to imagine a more beautiful setting for a pub. The oystercatcher is a stone's throw away from beautiful Loch Fyne, and is a stimulating drive up over the mountain from the Clachan of Glendaruel. It is very small with only a handful...More

A fantastic location which is well worth a visit, but let down by a very disappointing and quite expensive meal. Would visit again but just for the view and drink.

We have been regular visitors sailing from Strachur and love the place but was shocked on Wednesday night to see a sign on the door saying closed. Due to an extremely busy weekend you had sold all the food? Does that mean if you haven't sold the food we'd be getting it on Wednesday? So not fresh produce then? The grass had been allowed to grow and looked unkept people in boats looking in bewilderment! It looked as though you'd made a few quid at the weekend and shut up shop and off to enjoy your spoils! The sign was crass and I'm sure you could have been open for drinks and picked up whatever food was needed for the kitchen. It is holiday season and better weather we could not be having. Not a good for advert for west of Scotland hospitality!!!

The Oystercatcher is a pub and restaurant on the banks of beautiful Loch Fyne, now open under new management. We offer meals prepared with fresh, local produce and stock a wide range of Scottish craft beer, small batch gin, and whisky in our bar.
