We popped in for lunch a bowl of soup on a cold day we thought just the thing to heat us up. I honestly didn’t want this to end it was the tastiest soup we have had in a long time. It also was a full bowl unlike some places where your looking to see if they spilt half of it out the bowl on its way to you. Beautiful fresh brown bread and ample sizes too. It was a very generous portion and filled us up nicely. We would recommend this place the food and staff are lovely. We can’t wait to go back to have dinner.

It was my mother’s 90th birthday and I had booked a table at Duck Bay some time in advance. My daughter had phoned them to book a room as she was travelling up from London and she was informed that they were going to be closed due to a refurb, no one phoned or e-mailed to let me know. So as I had been to Riverhill Courtyard before I thought I would try them. They could not have been more helpful and even gave me the number of their cafe to get a cake done. The food was excellent and they couldn’t have been more helpful arranging for the cake to be delivered to them.

Went here for breakfast. Quite a nice selection. My wife had Eggs Royal with salmon. Well presented and included avocado. I had the traditional Scottish breakfast. This was average. The bacon in particular was overcooked and hard. In fact I had a better breakfast at a less expensive venue a few days earlier. Drinks were served as soon as the order went in meaning they were cool when the breakfast arrived. It would have been nice if the waiter had asked when we would like the drinks. Overall a nice olace in the centre of town but in my opinion overpriced.

A beautiful restaurant setting with a great menu offering some delightful dishes. My family and I came here for a visit and were not disappointed. The staff were attentive but in a casual and friendly way, making guests welcome and setting a relaxing mood for dining. We were seated at our booked time and our order was taken promptly. Drinks arrived quickly and our dinner order was taken. Our starters were served within 10 minutes of the order having been cooked fresh (you can see in to the open kitchen where the dishes were being prepared). The food was of excellent quality all round and our main courses were prepped and ready shortly after our starters were cleared. All of the food was amazing and really tasty, there were no complaints from my table and every last bit of the starters, mains and delicious desserts were finished. I have to say this restaurant would be on par with some of the top end 'on trend' restaurants in London, but with much friendlier and personable staff and a not so stuffy atmosphere. I would recommend Riverhill to anyone who is in the area looking for a great place to eat.

The weather was horrible but the welcome was warm. An inauspicious entrance down an alley led to a brick walled oasis. Entering the door at 2.15 on a Friday, I was surprised to find the restaurant buzzing. It’s not a large place, but it’s got a great atmosphere. It was warm and comfortable and we were immediately greeted and shown to our table, which I had reserved by email. Drinks followed shortly, and then the food, freshly cooked from the visible kitchen. All of it was delicious, and there was a good selection. I would particularly recommend the sauce that goes with the chicken pakora. Ask for some with anything and I guarantee you will enjoy it. Steak sandwich, calamari, fish tacos, all also very good. Inexpensive for the quality with great service. Thoroughly recommend.

This is a lovely modern restaurant with a small but lovely menu. The waiters were attentive and friendly. My steak was cooked to perfection and the double fried chips were just delicious! Health precautions were in place and we felt comfortable eating out again! Recommended

Had lunch here again today and once more the food was delicious. I had the chunks of fish (good quality in batter) with guacamole and cabbage on three small tortillas. It was very tasty and very nicely presented. A really good nutritious, light lunch. In the past some meals have been a bit too large for me for lunch, so very glad that this was just right. Staff are always lovely, very efficient and pleasant. You feel as if they want you to be here. With all the extra measures they have to contend with during the Covid crisis, they are doing a fantastic job to make you feel welcome. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I'd read so many great reviews that we decided to go here with my husband daughter and her friend. We had the brunch menu (possibly the other menu is better). We all ordered something different. Husband had The BIG BOB and although it looked great he said the meat wasn't well seasoned and bland. I felt like my fish wraps were made from frozen fish and pretty tasteless. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese which I would totally recommend. You have to het mac right and they got it right! Katsu curry was watery (really watery). Service was spot on and the staff were 10 out of 10 really lovely people. I feel bad writing this review but I was so disappointed.

I went to this nice little restaurant while on business in the area and heard some good things about, on arrival myself and my colleague were greeted and shown to our table, the decor was nice and the building was stunning , it’s an old converted church I think, someone came over to take our drinks order and I asked for a corona , was told this was sold out so I asked for the recommended beer , the beer I was given was really nice and very palletable. My colleague did mention that the person who took our order seemed to be quite loud and in your face and yes he was but service was good, we then ordered food, I seen chicken shrwarma on the menu and having had this in both the Middle East and North Africa I knew what I would be getting and decided to go for that, I also ordered some halloumi fries , the fries were very large but nice , when the shrwarma arrived it was basically sliced chicken breast on some lentils/chickpea and some salad as a token on top, I ate a few slices of chicken and pushed aside , when the same gentleman came over to clear he asked how it was , I explained that I didn’t really like it and that it wasn’t like any shrwarma I’d had before , the reply I got was “well it’s our interpretation of shrwarma” I explained well maybe you should put that on your menu just to make it a little clearer , and was told that “everyone loves it as it is” i said ok no problem thank you and we paid the bill (including the interpretation of the shrwarma as it wasn’t removed and we left , the gentleman was at the door as we left and didn’t acknowledge us , I feel that he has let this restaurant down in a big way as I would have gone back to try something else another night but not anymore . Very disappointed

We went for lunch on a particularly warm day in September, we sat inside as outside was full. Inside was busy and there was a good atmosphere. We ordered wraps and both were delicious. The service was good and the place was clean and well cared for. Definitely recommend

Having visited Hill House, we went into Helensburgh and looked for a restaurant and found this gem of a place. Warm welcome, lovely meal at a good price. The dark hot chocolate was especially welcome on a Cole sunny day with the wind gusting through the town off the Clyde.

Went here for dinner and drinks after a recommendation from our Air BnB host and honestly one of the best places we've ever had dinner. So reasonably priced and personally we would have been willing to pay even more for the quality of food and drink that we received. Lovely inside the restaurant and a very welcoming, warm atmosphere. Not exactly located where Google Maps says as we had to ask for help to find it (its beside Costa!) but our difficulties in finding the place were quickly wiped away by our amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend

Read lyn a review 1 star lol this is 5. The place is great the food is great. More to the point they will change things for you ie the chicken curry to a vegetarian option. The seafood is not over cooked for a change so no rubber feel in your mouth. Seasoning is v good, presentation is good. What is not to like. Tip.... book as this place is v busy

Superb guys for service. We came 2x in the same day after ate breakfast what was fresh, original, lovely taste. Felt all food from local farm, groceries and not from tesco. So we decides to go back for dinner. Wow My wife chicken burger was amazing look, taste. I have tasted the periperi chicken and did the beat choise. It was tight without bone but fresh, soft cooked for perfection. The lentils soup might be better then in indian cousins. Ofcourse tasted the dessert. Mille feulle and panna cotta was amazing. Wow. The liquid lemon mixed with panna cotta base. The crushed coconut give the after taste. Toulet facility need to be checked by maintenence but nice and clean just bit old We all recommend this place for everyone who wanna taste something different. Ah almost forget.. If you have a sweet tooth.. Omg.. Try their Elvis pancake. The caramelised walnut with hard chocolate taste, amazing puff pasrty pencake not with water. Banana and peanutbutter parfe combination makes you smille whole day
