Always stop here when in Tyndrum for the gluten free fish and chips. Tasted good but not as good as I recall having been before. The Cafe has undergone quite a trasformation and although great for families and travellers alike something of the old cafe is quaintly missing.

So earlier today myself and my husband decided to eat at The Real Food Cafe. One of the waiters in our hotel told us not to go as the food is "awf" but we took it as him not wanting our business to go elsewhere. So we went. Well i wish we had listened. That was the weirdest burger i... More

We have had takeaways on numerous occasions from The Real Food Cafe but decided to sit in on this visit. Friendly welcoming staff, great menu, log fire on and lovely loos! We had our dog with us and she was made welcome too, very doggy friendly! Even have a dog/boot wash station outside to clean muddy paws/boots after a long... More

We visit this cafe regularly, on our travels. Service is friendly and efficient. Someone clearing tables/dishes continuously. The food is really good, we chose snack size fish and chips. I had the gluten--free and my husband had regular haddock and chips. Fabulous, freshly cooked. The selection of cakes/traybakes etc are delicious with (again)a great GF choice. Try the salted caramel... More

Stopped here for lunch. Great value for tasty food. Plenty of choice. Fab fish & chips, home made tartare sauce. Wonderful brown bread which I was told was from Tower Bakery. It's dog friendly too.

Stopped here for breakfast after an early sailing from Mull to Oban. Fresh food and plenty of it, cooked to order and served with good humour and not a little banter - all good on a Monday morning. Tyndrum does very well for a small place when it comes to choice and quality of food, but this place still just... More

This is really just a fish and chip shop with some small additions to the menu. The food was ok. Surprised that the food was served on "paper/plastic" plates when eating in. Poor to have sides served in a paper tub and plastic spoons. Just seemed like a missed opportunity.
