Wonderful welcome from owner and staff. Dog friendly and mix of comfortable relaxing seats and more formal tables and chairs.

This is a super bookshop and cafe. Very much geared to more intellectual tastes also the service is friendly and the food and coffee is a s good as it says outside.

As it says outside, exquisite coffee, served by lovely people with stunning scones and jam. We will be back and leave more time to browse.

Found this tearoom about a year ago whilst looking at houses in the area and have become regulars there ever since. A warm welcome was our first impression and that has continued. The atmosphere is relaxed and very comfortable. Lots of fascinating books to browse, whilst enjoying lunch or a scone (many different flavours available) and coffee. An endless succession... More

Lovely friendly bookshop/cafe. Cakes are just grand, coffee too. All the rooms are well arranged, huge choice of books etc on offer. Dogs welcome, and I have always met other pleasant Dogs and their owners inside.

Thank you for you comments, I'm glad that you find ReadingLases relaxing. ReadingLasses is primarily a bookshop, in fact the only Women's bookshop in Britain and we are very proud of that identity. It is also a tearoom rather than a cafe or restaurant and as such we specialise in our coffe, tea and homebakes which change regularly. Our soups... More

A group of nine ladies had the most wonderful evening of fantastic food at Reading Lasses. We had the place to ourselves and had food that was fabulous. A choice of mains with beautiful side salads and flat breads, followed by a choice of puddings AND a cheese board with tea and coffee. The value for money was outstanding. Thank... More

ReadingLasses has new owners and opened its doors on 25th July 2015 after a total refurbishment. We are still a bookshop specialising in Women's Studies and a tearoom with the same wonderful staff preparing and serving great food. We particularly specialize in great coffee and homebakes. Come and relax in our cosy lounge and read a book or sample our homemade scones and baking in our middle café or lunch in the rear café.
