Excellent staff, very friendly, I had Whitebait starter that was excellent and probably the best steak and ale pie I've ever tasted. Great menu, cask ales and a super location, couldn't fault my visit.

Sunday lunch at the new inn. Friendly and helpful staff, good food and pleasant atmosphere, very nice meal and large serving. Recommended
Thank you for your lovely review 😊
Always rated the food here however I was deeply disappointed. They’ve lost their passion for food. I couldn’t eat the creamy peppercorn chicken, even the waitress liked embarrassed handing it to me. Chips and salad was nice. Unfortunately my daughter who isn’t fussy couldn’t eat...her food either. Garden was a mess with lots of broken pieces of wood. Wasn’t a nice area to sit in. Waste of hard earned money and won’t be returning im afraidMore
Good evening. I am sorry to read this poor review from August. I would like to let you know The New Inn is now under new management as of only this week, with the new head chef now being co-owner. We hope you give us...More
Went to try the new ‘Light Bite Menu’ available from 12-5pm Monday-Friday £8.50 Mains £4 Starters. Great idea and yes the portion size is smaller (not for everyone) but enough for us and meant we had room for their lovely desserts 👏👏. I tried the...ham (thick piece it was really tasty) and eggs and chips. Also lots of meat in the steak and ale pie 👍👍. Desserts are always nice here and good portion sizes with 2 scoops of ice cream yayyyyy. Quiet when we arrived but got busy later on so I would book. Great service from staff who were well organised with quick service and clearing away tables. It’s a typical pub in here including a dining room conservatory so lots of room and some quiet tables in the back. Lovely outdoor area at the back and the side of the entrance. Great location in the day to walk up Dyserth waterfalls across the road.More
Thank you so much for your lovely review. This is so lovely to hear on our first week of taking on The New Inn. Xx
Came with a group of walkers. Our food was very good and no complaints from anyone as far as I know. Staff were very helpful and efficient..Drinks were served at the correct temperature which makes change unlike a lot of pubs were drinks are far...to cold. So it's 10 out of 10 from me.More
Thank you so much for this lovely review. We took over the New Inn only a week ago and this is an amazing review for our first week. Thank you again and hope to see you all again soon.
We visited for a lunch and we are not impressed at all! I still have a heartburn from the onion rings! They were soooo overcooked and tasted like a rancid oil. Pate smelled bad and was very grey, ordered a chicken burger and got the...beef burger. Staff looked unbothered. Unfortunately will not be returning and not recommend!More
I am so sorry to hear this. We have just taken over the New Inn and this is our first week. Please can I ask you to hopefully give us a try now we have a new kitchen team making fresh food. Kind regards Jill.
Absolutely gorgeous homemade food The staff are helpful and polite my partner myself and our pooch sat in the garden . We will be returning one of my favourite places keep up the good work
The food was excellent. The steak and ale pie was full of large chunks of meat - best pie I've had in a long time.
Beautiful setting, excellent friendly staff. Both myself and daughter had sizzling haloumi and it was so good. Everything was piping hot. The home cooked chips and coleslaw were georgous. It was the third time we have been and the standards have been brilliant on every...occasion. My Granddaughter had the child's chicken strips chips and beans, she ate everything on her plate. Highly recommended.More
I’ve eaten at the new inn several times over the last few years and I’ve never had to complain before, in fact the food has been amazing. This time we were very disappointed. We ordered the soup of the day which was broccoli and Stilton,...there was so much pepper in it you couldn’t taste anything else. I couldn’t finish it it was so peppery. Next I ordered the sausage and mash special. It was not special at all it had three cheap sausages on three blobs of barely mashed potatoes with frozen peas and cabbage mixed in, they had also tried to dribble a very small amount of gravy over to make it look posh. My partner ordered the tuna steak with avocado and peach salad The tuna was over cooked , it was more lettuce than anything else , two slices of peach from a tin and a very tiny blob of guacamole Definitely not worth the money and unfortunately won’t be returningMore
Had a lovely meal today and fantastic food by Patrick would come back again as we love having the food in the garden
We called in as a ‘walk—in’, we were looking for somewhere to eat at short notice. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Myself and my husband ordered peppered squid to start, it came on a very hot skillet, which was hot in temperature and...spices. The squid rings (4), were tasty, but the peppers and onions were far too spicy for my palate. Our daughter ordered hummus and pitta, which was presented nicely and she said was very tasty. Our main courses were a little more indifferent. My chicken curry was very tasty and not too spicy, two lovely fluffy naan breads came with it. Chicken Caesar salad was not so good, the salad was warm, steak and Ale pie with chips, was tasty but again, the dishes looked like they had all been sat on the pass, under the lamps too long.More
Very disappointed with meal, my husband ordered 10oz sirloin and when it came was convinced weight no more than 7-8oz. It was very thin and lots of gristle that had to be cut off. When mentioned to staff they just said "oh sorry". I ordered...salmon with garlic saffron new potatoes, asparagus and cherry tomatoes. When it came half the meal was salad with wilted spinach, 4 new potatoes which had no taste, 3 pieces of asparagus and dry salmon. The meals were definitely not worth the money and the salmon dish did not state half of it was salad. Will not be going again and will not recommend to others to go.More
Food is recommended. Staff were very professional and nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommend
Fundamentally the worst Sunday lunch I've ever had!!!! Inedible is the only word to describe my experience. Definitely would rate McDonald's over your food and that's no exaggeration 😡
