I am confused about the review below as the writer seems to be also ( ! ) as today El Tomate at lunch was buzzing which l was so happy to see as a regular with my friend . Great tapas as always and fab service to match from very alert and personable Portuguese female waitress who reckon has helped... More

Visited el tomate for a friends birthday and left there very confused! I know people who eat there regularly and rave about the place but I was served bland and cold food all night! When we mentioned this we were assured that this food had "just come out of the fryer". I abandoned the food aspect of the evening and... More

Thank you for your recent visit to our establishment, we are sorry that we only operate a tab system like pretty much all restaurants, specially taking into consideration we do not have a bar at the premises. As you may appreciate the 14 people in your party paying separately for each drink "paying as you go" in a fully booked... More

Came here for our monthly girly catch up and finding out it was half price on jugs of sangria was perfect! We came on a Thursday so it wasn't too crowded which was nice. Would definitely recommend coming with family and friends. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were helpful on picking dishes and very polite. We each ordered four tapas dishes each... More

Lovely setting would eat here again , we all ordered 3 dishes each and had a little bit of everything! Good vegetarian choices and gluten free options are catered for !! :) Meals are very nice but some are overpriced ! Lovely experience though :)

Having been let down elsewhere we phoned ahead to see if they could fit us in in the next 5 minutes. No problem, happy days. Excellent food, good service. Be warned, they only accept cash, but this is clearly stated on the door as you enter.

We opted for the unlimited tapas lunchtime deal at £9.95. The food is individually prepared on order and is excellent quality. The drinks aren't cheap but we were driving anyway so just had one each. Will definitely visit again. Just a point to be aware of, they only accept cash payments.

Stopped for lunch on a cold wet rainey day. Settled for the lunch special, soup and the choice of 3 tapas dishes. Drinks are required to qualify but with the bill at a very reasonable £18 for two it was value for money. Best dish is Fried potatoes, chorizo and peas. Stunningly packed with explosive taste.

Six of us popped in for lunch on a very busy Saturday afternoon but we looked after really well by the excellent Claudia and her team. We all had the menu deal and the food was amazing, especially the desserts! A brilliant find fir us and we will definitely be back soon!!!

Popped in here for some lunch. Lovely welcome from jolly young man. Lunch time tapas - soup followed by 3 different tapas. My husband started with fresh bread and balsamic dip then also had 3 different tapas. All served beautiful temperature and looked nice when presented. Washed down nicely with cool glass of wine. Bargain at £6.95 each. Very quiet... More

Absolutely fabulous... food was perfect, staff and atmosphere was second to none. Will most definitely be returning... Tells it's own story when the place is full on a Wednesday evening.
