My husband and I took the coastal walk from Black rock sands to Cricieth and stopped off here for a coffee and a slice of cake. We sat on the terrace at table 3 and were pleasantly surprised at how good the social distancing measures in place were. You have to enter just inside the restaurant to place your order, here I was greeted by a very friendly lady who listed all the cakes available, then took my order. Our order was delivered directly to our table by a young lady wearing a mask. She too was very friendly. Our cappuccinos were delicious and our carrot cake was moist and fresh with a great taste. The restaurant and terrace were both very clean and well organised. Payment was contactless. We left a painted rainbow rock on the table for staff to find and brighten their day.

We visited here for lunch on a sunny Monday, and we were able to sit on their terrace with a view of the sea. They had a lovely menu with lots of options. I choose the Goats Cheese Salad and my husband had the Welsh Rarebit - the food was fantastic. My salad was huge with delicious dressing and really generous portions of goats cheese and my husband’s Welsh Rarebit looked amazing - he also said it was delicious. The restaurant also has a good range of drinks - I had a glass of wine and my husband a beer. The staff were really friendly and we felt very safe with their Covid actions in place. Overall this was a lovely place for lunch and very good value. I definitely recommend this place and would visit again.

We chanced upon Tir a Mor cafe when on a family walk late on Saturday afternoon. There was a big group of us and the cafe had just closed down the ovens but kindly welcomed us in and happily cooked the most beautiful meals which were delicious and very fairly priced. I have never been to a more friendly cafe and we were all bowled over by the food and service. We will go back to Criccieth again just to visit Tir a Mor. Brilliant.

Went here on Easter Sunday late in the day. Luckily this was the only place open still selling food. The staff were friendly and the order was cooked quickly. We had two sausage baps and a portion of chips which was good value for money. During the time it was takeaway only due to Covid regulations.

Having tried unsuccessfully to find somewhere to have lunch on a very rainy afternoon we found Tir a Mor not only open but with a friendly greeting. The atmosphere was lovely and the food even better. We would definitely return as the menu was so interesting and the lunch such good quality. Thank you

We visited Tir a Mor on an autumnal October Saturday afternoon. There was a lot of flooding in the area. My partner knew the new owner and we were greeted well. We were seated upstairs and order's were taken. The beverages and food were very quick to be delivered and were of an excellent standard. Great coffees and salads very fresh. The cakes looked amazing and are made by a local patisserie lady (didn't have enough room for one!) Staff certainly get their steps in! The establishment was very clean ( including the toilets). Even though my partner knew the owner, I observed all members of staff to be very particular in taking others orders, tables were cleaned pronto and saw some great dishes being delivered. I wish them well in their venture that was bought during Lockdown I believe..plans are underway for them to open on the weekend evenings..look forward to that ..Bob lwc Tir a Mor xx

Originally we were going to the pub, however they were full. We decided to bob back towards the seafront and came across this little gem on the corner. Dog friendly, and just friendly all round with a warm welcome on a cold stormy day. We were spoilt for choice on the cakes and drinks but just missed the full food menu serving times. We had the baker herself working so asked advice on her favourite cake when we were choosing. Cakes were to die for so we decided to make the effort to go back for lunch the next day to try the menu. Simple but cracking food served by a very friendly team. So glad the pubs were full. Diolch am y croeso a'r bwyd hyfryd.

Our last family lunch of the holiday and we chose Tir a Mor because of the varied menu, positive reviews and outside seating. Unfortunately our food was served over a 50 minute period. Items were missing, a plain burger for a child came with relish and had to be recooked and one meal never arrived at all. My grandson was very upset whilst waiting so long for his lunch. The server didn't seem to have knowledge of our orders. A vague apology was made and no one asked if our meals were satisfactory. We basically felt ignored and that our grandson's meal should have been refunded. We enjoyed the meals we did eat but as regular visitors to Criccieth we will eat elsewhere in future.

We were just walking by with our dog and the owner popped out and simply said 'dogs are welcome here too'. We then went for a walk and returned to a very pleasant welcome. The plan was just to have a drink but the lunchtime choices changed our minds. Croque Monsier and soup of the day followed and both were lovely. The soup came with a large ciabatta and lovely salty butter. The staff couldn't do enough to help us with our dietary requirements and we thoroughly recommend a visit. A very nice lunch at a very reasonable price. Pop in if you get a chance.

We were a family group of 10 who booked for breakfast this morning, at the end of a weeks holiday. We ordered a range of options off the breakfast menu, full Welsh- full vegetarian, sausage baps, bacon baps, all sorts of teas and coffees. All delicious, with the freshly squeezed orange juice a particular highlight. We were really well looked after by the staff, who also had produced a gluten free cupcake for my wife as a pre arranged birthday surprise today. A memorable way to finish the holiday!

A group pf us ( six and three dogs) staying in a holiday rental nearby wanted a champagne breakfast to celebrate one of the groups 60th, so pre booked in here. We were shown to a lovely table upstairs and were served our chilled champagen followed by five full Welsh and one full Welsh vegetarian breakfasts. The sausages were of a high quality and well browned on all sides, a marker of a good establishment in my book.Black pudding was tasty on not too spicy again excellent, and the tasty bacon looked good quality too. The dogs even got an individually served sausage eachRounded off with teas excellent coffe and a mocha the whole experience was lovely. Did not get the names of the two chaps running the place but they were both faultless in their service , and Michelle who tooked the booking was great too. All in all highly recommended.

Visited this lovely old town to have a good beach walk to Black Rocks and back and arrived here for lunch. Really nice and the owner was very welcoming and young staff very polite and courteous Great choice of food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Strongly recommend- only disappointment was the coffee - not very good really - rather lacing in taste and my wife had decaf flat white which was equally poor

Highly recommended. Visited over the April Bank holiday - had a delicious breakfast outside in unusually good weather. There is a very pleasant outside seating area, and it felt almost Mediterranean in the sunshine! It opens early for breakfast and the menu is extensive, with all needs covered: gluten free & veggie options. The Welsh breakfast was fantastic - high quality, well cooked , locally sourced food with excellent, professional, prompt & friendly service, even though they were busy. For days less tropical - Inside the Café there is a lovely ambience, clean, bright, beautifully decorated; homely yet contemporary; a comfortable haven when its suddenly starts belting it down! This place really has got it right with the quality of food and service. Dog and family friendly too. loved it. Thank you to the staff and owners. Wonderful :)

Food was cold, plate was cold and it wasn't great at all. Girl and one man was friendly but I think the owner (slim man) wasn't at all friendly. Mum lives in Criccieth but won't be coming again.

Unfortunately, for our experience, it wasn’t a good one, but I say the food was excellent when it came 50 minutes after ordering which was really not acceptable, especially as we were only the third couple at the restaurant at time of order .A crowd approximately 15 to 20 arrived after us and I feel that our order had been forgotten or as I suspected the crab had not arrived in stock as we had ordered the fresh crab sandwiches the manager assured us that we had not been forgotten .But as everyone else were being served a lady arrived with what I suspected was the Crab and sure enough within five minutes. We had our sandwiches. The manager, then asked if we would like more drinks on the house which we accepted, come on get your act together you have the perfect Bistro in Criccieth
