Dropped in here after the tea shop across the road refused entry at 16.15 on a Sunday afternoon because it was closing (at quarter past four? What time do they think is tea time?) A good pot of tea for three, (providing two cups each),...More

A very interesting venue that dates back to the early 1600s. A good place for decent, good food at reasonable prices.

Despite no cake options for vegans or those with an allergy to eggs or calves milk, we enjoyed the coffees and the ambience in this attractive cafe with an interesting history.

This was the old jail (ground floor) with law courts above, dating from 1606! Have a good look around while you are here - the old jail door is still in evidence. All lamb is from the owner's farm and is delicious.

Wouldn't recommend this place. Breakfast was awful, tough bacon almost impossible to cut, overcooked eggs, stale bread toast, very greasy hash browns. Didn't smell good either -evidence on plate of brown greasy fat it was cooked in. Lacking in customer service too.

Me and my partner have come here on a few occasions and absolutely love it. The food is lovely and the staff are friendly. Definitely worth dropping by for food.
