A lovely setting in an historic building. Great food (the steaks are fabulous!) served by lovely people - ten out of ten!

We have been a few times and have never been disappointed. Lovely food and great service. WE prefer the smaller dining room on the ground floor, but the whole place is very comfortable.

Wonderful 3 course meal. Real old school prawn cocktail. cod with a nut and herb crust then affogato. The ambience is elegant, service slick and discreet and the management team very professional. Always call ahead to book.

Service was excellent and food really good. Not too expensive, around £27 for a 3 courses menu and good quality. I would recommend it to everyone.

Description
Y Meirionnydd Townhouse is a great restaurant and bar in the centre of Dolgellau. What was the original old County jailhouse has been skilfully converted into a contemporary, stylish and yet cosy restaurant serving traditional British dishes with a Welsh twist using mostly local produce. The ground floor bar is a great place to unwind and relax with a drink or light meal. Booking is essential, please check for opening times. Please note we are unable to cater for children under 8 years old.
