Our daughter has Celiacs so having tried probably 4 or 5 places without success we came across this cafe. Unusually there was lots of choice for her in terms of gluten free food, and the staff were really helpful. The food was really tasty, and...More

We had seen the reviews on tripadvisor and decided to have lunch here. It's a quirky shop/cafe with friendly staff. Our order was filled quickly and the food was good. We found the overall experience good and would not hesitate to stop here again.

A lovely tearoom with very friendly staff. A really good selection of cakes. It's on two floors which is also a help.

We stopped off for lunch on a miserable, wet tuesday in February and this was a warm, comfortable break. We had teas and " folded Italian bread", we weren't quite sure what to expect but they were almost like an omelette but made out of...More

Visiting Monmouth, we were looking for somewhere independent to have some coffee and cake, and this looked a welcoming place. When we went in, we could choose comfy armchairs at the front or dining tables and chairs at the back. We opted for the armchairs,...More

Just what all towns could do with an independent coffee shop serving good coffee, cakes and sandwiches. Cash only. Quite small.

Description
Upstairs Downstairs Tearoom & Cafe is small but perfectly formed. Upstairs is like stepping back in time, elegantly furnished with panelled walls, Italian Leather chairs and stunning chandeliers. Waitress service and freshly made food and home made cakes add to the charm of this lovely Tea Room / Coffee shop and now downstairs, on the ground floor we have opened a more informal cafe with comfortable arm chairs and shabby chic tables & chairs but still beautifully decorated. Upstairs can be booked for anniversary Afternoon teas and special occasions. A little oasis in the heart of the pretty market town of Monmouth.
