Very poor!! Will never come here again!! One stick of parsnip and 2 roast potatoes NOT my idea of a quality xmas meal. Turkey dry, duck cold and steak not cooked to perfection. Don’t really know what the big deal is about this place. Very...More

Starters were good. Mains - turkey dinner was really disappointing. Cold plates, cold food, dry turkey, no sauces offered and extra gravy came late. Creme brûlée was ok.

The food was excellent and well presented, the staff were very pleasant and friendly and what was a very old fashioned and "grubby" pub was now a very clean and smart establishment. We were very impressed and will certainly go again!

We stumbled upon this pub and what a treat. Steak and ale pie was sublime followed by magnificent sticky toffee pudding. Waitstaff were perfect. Great atmosphere. If you are in the area remember to book ahead.

Chicken and bacon salad for two, freshly cooked and well prepared tasty salad and a good portion too. The IPA was rather good and who could resist a shared portion of fresh cooked, hot chips on a wet and windy Saturday
