We treated our Aunty and Uncle to lunch yesterday at the Anglesey Arms hotel Menai Bridge to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. The meal was excellent (compliments to the chef) Sophie our server was lovely and very helpful. Will certainly return again for food, keep...up the good work folks.More

We have been eating here 3 or four times a year for the past three years and it has never let us down. We discovered it quite by accident on a hot summer Sunday afternoon when staggering up the hill after a good walk we...decided we needed a drink. We sat in the beer garden watching and smelling lots of tasty looking food being served to tables around us decided to check out their menu. Two of the family are gluten free and we were impressed by the choice on the menu, ok it was just a paper menu with gf marked on it at the time but we were just out of covid at the time. We then decided to book for later in the week. We were not disappointed. The portions were generous, gluten free was taken care of with ease and the food was great. So much so we booked again for the week after. Again service and food was great. We now make it a definite on our holiday meal out list - three or four times over a fortnight. The menu changes a couple of times a year and they now have a separate gluten free menu with plenty of choice. Prices are very reasonable portions are still generous and service is still great.More

Went for a drink with a couple of friends, the restaurant was quiet but with a lot of dirty tables, the girl serving us had an awful attitude and was very rude throughout our experience where she made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Myself...and the rest of the party know the pressures of working in hospitality but there is no excuse for this attitude.More

Lovely place, friendly staff, but hugely let down with the food. I have been here a few times and all has been well but this time my food was cremated had to send it back and my dessert was awful it should have been two...flavoured ice creams butterscotch and honeycomb but it was just a spoonful of frozen icicles and large bits of ice no resemblance to what it should have been. Sorry to say we won’t return.More

Came here unexpectedly as our usual restaurant was full. Pleasantly surprised with the food. We had a Sunday dinner and a fish and chips and they were both delicious. Large portion of the Sunday dinner, with plenty of meat and gravy and the veg was...also very nice. The fish and chips were well cooked and tasted good. Lost a star because the service was slow, asked for some ketchup but had eaten half the meal before it arrived and drinks were slow. The table had also not been cleaned properly, there was dried spilled gravy, drink rings and bits of veg. The food made up for the slow service so will eat here again when we return to Anglesey.More

Basically we drove over 100 miles to meet family on Anglesey for a lunch. We had a good time. The food was delicious. The staff accommodating. The venue was good. I am a sucker for different things, and enjoyed the monkfish I hadn't had for...too long. (And the potatoes actually). The rest of the family enjoyed their meals as in the attached photos. Crispy beef, pie and chips, salad etc. Recommended.More

Just don’t bother going here. The food was awful and that’s once we all had our food. One person was left waiting ages for a salad, they must have popped next door to Waitrose to buy it. Service was non existent, so we had to...ask for the basic like sauces. Roast dinners were terrible and didn’t even come with roast potatoes, the beef was tough as boots. The fish and chips was practically no fish and just batter with chips. I would never eat here again. Don’t waste your money trying this place.More

Having been for a meal here many times in the past, I must admit we were disappointed on a recent visit for lunch. We ordered one Cod and Chips and one cod on its own, as my Wife does not have a large appetite. Fish...was lovely, wish the same could be said about the chips. Soggy and tasted as if they had been cooked at least once. When I came to pay the bill, I was told, that he fish on its own was the same price as fish and chips. I tried to explain there should be cost difference, the lady behind the bar, said that they HAD to charge the same price. Utter nonsense. How can that be possibly correct. I have contacted the brewery, but do not expect and early response. Will not be visiting again soon I feel.More

There is an area at the very far end of the old Public Bar, an area well away from diners, in fact you can't be seen there. This is an excellent Pub which has really been turned around. Try the Manchester Lager, it's superb.
