Last Sunday Cleopatra's was our chosen mid morning break on our ride from Newport (Shropshire). A great choice. Whilst my fellow cyclists had a hearty bacon sandwich I plumped for the Waffle with bacon and maple syrup. Even though the sandwich's looked great when the waffle turned up I was impressed - 3 rashers of bacon and a generous covering of syrup - really hit the spot. We sat outside in gorgeous sunshine and was amazed at the passing cyclists and the number availing themselves to this great cafe.

FANTASTIC pizzas and amazingly lovely service! We ordered two takeaway pizzas for a birthday evening in and were delighted with the quality of the pizzas and the wonderfully friendly service we received. We had the Mexicana pizza (lovely, flavoursome Mexican beef!) and the bacon/Brie/cranberry pizza which was also delicious. Thin, crisp bases with quality toppings. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Can’t wait to return to the area sometime soon to dine in. I really hope an independent place like this can survive the tricky times for small businesses we find ourselves in - support them however you can! We will be back!

Not being from the area we looked around to find a suitable place for dinner. After reading some very good reviews we decided to book Cleopatras and they delivered with an excellent experience. Staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was to die for, especially in these difficult times it looks like they have put a lot of time and effort into making the experience as normal as possible. We liked it so much we came back for breakfast which was equally as good. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Give them a try you will not be disappointed! Roger & Lisa Bailey x

Title says it all really. Had a takeaway sossage and bacon sandwich and a cappuccino. It came with 1 sossage cut in half In the middle of the sandwich not a lot of bacon and bread was incredibly dry and just really very disappointing that paired with the price is just a joke. If you charge premium prices then you need a premium product! Throwing a couple of crisps in the tray with sandwich doesn't make my experience any better, I didn't ask for them, I asked for a sandwich I would much rather just have a decent sandwich! Staff were very friendly but that is the only positive. A greggs sandwich is nicer for about £2!

Having read all the glowing reviews we decided to lunch here. We were greeted by a lovely young lady and shown to a table by the window (probably as we were the only customers) she was very friendly and efficient. All was good until our meals arrived, my husband's meat pie meal was totally dried up, rock hard overdone pastry, dry mushy peas and hard skinny oven chips at £11.50, my Greek salad was a bowl of quartered watery tomatoes topped by minimal thinly sliced cucumber/onions/olives and tasty feta, OK but not up to the 5* review ratings. We did say our meals were fine when asked as the waitress was so pleasant and what is the point of complaining when it must have been very obvious to the kitchen that the pie etc was below standard but still served. Needless to ay we finished our lunch at a nearby cafe where we had excellent coffee and dessert.

We had the soup to start and the chicken skewers followed by the world best chocolate mousse. all dishes were perfection. the timing between courses was spot on and the staff we friendly and attentive offering recommendations when requested. the wines are lovely and reasonable priced with a well stocked bar for any other options. definitely hope to visit again. thank you

We made our way through the local flooding for a bite to eat before journeying back home to derbyshire and were really happy with our experience. Lovely food and service. Special mentions to the hot chocolate and the sourdough rolls!

From the friendly waitress to the owner, when you walk into Cleopatra's you feel very welcome. Great cappuccinos & delicious cakes. The owner took time to give me a lead to buy boerewors even though she was obviously busy behind the scenes. Looking forward to my promised toasted bacon & banana toastie next time we visit.

We live over the bridge in Farndon and have visited Cleopatras a few times now for lunch which is always gorgeous. We decided to book for an evening meal on the 18th Jan to celebrate 10 years together. Food was absolutely gorgeous - we went for the ribs and the South African kebabs for mains both perfectly cooked. The service was also excellent and atmosphere absolutely lovely and relaxed. We will definitely return and would recommend to anyone.

The bistro graciously accepted our group of 17 with a day's notice; thank you! The staff were friendly throughout and we ordered from a quite extensive menu. There was a long wait for our food and two meals on adjacent tables were mixed up upon being served. We both ate our meals, but they were nothing special. It would have been appreciated if there were some extras on the plates such as a bit of side salad. As per the overall scores for Cleopatra's the food and value scored less than the other categories.

Came across this delightful little coffee shop quite by accident. We had the "all day breakfast" it was really tasty and plenty of it, the only slight downfall was the toast which was under-done. However, we enjoyed it and would recommend.

Cleopatra's is a favourite coffee stop for cyclists, but we thought we would try it for an evening meal. It was fantastic. The menu is varied without the usual over emphasis on burgers and pizzas, food was excellent and the staff pleasant and welcoming. Best of all prices were reasonable and drinks well below local prices. I could not recommend Cleopatra's highly enough.

Stop here a lot after a walk, The food is always delicious, whether you are having a cuppa with cake, a full English, sandwiches, or something more substantial. They always bring a biscuit or two out for the dog. Only downside is when it is busy with cyclists they like to park their bikes around the outside tables , leaving very little room for customers when it is busy during good weather

Usually when you decide on a chicken salad it can be bland. This one certainly was not. Wonderful homemade dressing no need to add any extras. Very very yummy. Husband loved his chicken wrap as well. Staff wonderful and brilliant knowledge on sourcing ingredients.
