I booked to take my elderly mother for a celebration lunch based on the reviews. We travelled 30 miles to the inn only to find that the chef had not turned up for work and the restaurant was closed. The owner had tried to phone but only 30 minutes before the booking time and due to poor mobile signal in... More

Mied feelings after our dinner here. Wanted a cosy pub dinner by a fire but when arrived was told there was no fire lit, so we were moved to a table in the restaurant. Chair seat was uncomfortable and felt like it had partially sagged leaving me sitting on the frame, so just swapped it one from the adjacent vacant... More

Lovely pub, great food and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for a lot more. Had a welsh breakfast and a farmers lunch. Delicious!

Came here for supper after an afternoon doing a treasure hunt. It was Sunday early evening and pretty busy! Good food, pleasant staff there to help and assist. The dining area is comfortable with lovely wood tables and leather chairs. Toilets nice and clean. Great views over the Vale of Clwyd. going back for their bonfire 'do' on 6th. November... More

This is one of my favourite pub/restaurants. The beer is great and so too is the food - usually. However, the new menu was a big disappointment. The problem is the "trios" and "duos" on the menu. The "Three Pigeons" main course was appropriate given the pub, but like a joke that is told too often it has been over... More

We were in the area visiting friends and they wanted to take us for a meal so booked a table for 4. Upon arrival at the lovely looking pub we were seated in the comfortable and relaxing dining area. The staff were very pleasant and the service was very efficient. The choice of food was plentiful and when it arrived... More

Calling into this quaint country pub after a day out in search of good pub grub we were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the food on offer and the surroundings. The soup was great with chunks of lovely fresh bread followed by superb beer battered plaice, pea purée and chips. Fantastic. Last visit to this pub was... More

Four interesting real ales, several “proper” ciders, jugs of ale a nice touch, 2 or 4 pint pottery jugs to share This pub just feels right, the kind of place that you’d want as your local The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise, completely different to the unspoilt public bar and very welcoming and cosy. Candlelit which added to the... More
