Lovely venue to meet up with old school friends. The pub is a really great venue for gatherings of all sizes. The hosts are friendly and always accommodating. Food was great and excellent service all night.

We ate there twice. There is parking. Nice friendly welcome and good atmosphere. Good menu, good service and our meals, both mains & dessert were enjoyable. Nice cider as well. Good toilet facilities. Certainly worth a revisit when we go to North Wales again, as...we had a great campsite nearby.More
Went yesterday afternoon for sunday lunch and it didn't disappoint. There was 11 of us and everyone was happy with there meals. The portion sizes were fantastic, I was gutted as I couldn't fit on pudding. Staff were lovely and attentive. Can't wait to go...again. Thanks everyoneMore
Just had Sunday lunch at this establishment. Our group was 11 family members. We were looked after from the time we arrived to when we left. Service was friendly, engaging, and efficient throughout. The food (roast lamb with all the trimmings) was superb. Best Sunday...lunch in a long time. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again in the future. 10 out of 10.More
Stopped here "on spec" as we were looking for an early evening pub meal, and they were the first we came across Wow What a great surprise From the friendly welcome and service to a broad menu of really tasty food It's obviously populay with...locals too and got very busy very quickly (if you are looking at going in a busy time, perhaps book a table) Some of the tastiest pub food we've had in a long whileMore
Called in after a walk with the family. 4 adults 1 toddler. Fully table booked but made room for us in the bar. Sunday dinner was fab, great puddings, the lady looking after us couldn’t be anymore customer focussed. Loved the pub as well. We’ll...be back .More
Best restaurant for miles, we will definitely recommend and we will be back. Friendly service and the food was delicious. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Great meal, booking made on line which was easy. We arrived a bit early, it wasnt a problem, where shown to our table, I wasn't happy with the location of the table as the lighting wasnt great. The young lady that was dealing with us...moved us to another table that was brighter, there was no drama about the move. She was very friendly and took our order promptly and efficiently. Our meal was delicious, we had liver and onion gravy with mash and chicken with cider and bacon. A word of warning, the portions are very filling. The whole experience was great and we will be returning to sample the other dishesMore
We went to The Drovers for a birthday lunch. The Drovers was absolutely immaculate. From the 1st hello to the goodbye, everything was just right. The staff where pleasant. The food was lovely. The service was prompt. We will definitely be going back. Highly Recommended.
On arrival, the place was extremely busy. Their had been a mix up with our booking but the staff & manager bent over backwards to accommodate us. All 5 meals arrived together and all really enjoyed the food. Decent menu choice. THE STAFF SERVICE WAS...OUTSTANDING. full credit to the manager !! Highly recommended. Will most definitely return when next in the area. 10/10More
We had the most wonderful time at this charming pub! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff's genuine friendliness made us feel right at home, and what a pleasant surprise to find out they're dog-friendly...too! My furry companion was treated like a VIP. Regarding the food, from the moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. What truly sets this pub apart, though, is their commitment to traditional recipes and home cooking. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, this pub is an absolute must-visit. In a world of commercialized dining, it's refreshing to find a place that stays true to its roots and delivers an exceptional homemade dining experience.More
I've not been here for many years and as we were in the area, we'd booked a table online a few days earlier. We arrived an hour early for our table but this wasn't an issue and the owner was friendly and welcoming. As much...as the conservatory was lovely, it was too warm for some of us so we moved tables which was hassle free. Drinks were ordered and menus provided. The drinks came quickly and we were given enough time to decide on food. The menu options are very good, with some nice pub classics and a specials board with a few extra items. We all had something different (cod and chips, chicken curry and a veggie burger), which we very much enjoyed. The pudding menu had a good selection but we couldn't eat anything else. The cost for 3 of us with non-alcoholic drinks was under £50, which we found to be very reasonable. The service was excellent and the owners were friendly and chatty. The pub and dining areas are lovely, with a real country pub style and everything was very clean. There is a good carpark and lovely outdoor garden area. We will certainly be returning. Keep up the good work.More
Hadn’t been here since 1980s!! We were delighted to see how nicely decorated it was . Particularly liked the funky sheep wallpaper! So nice to see a bit of flair in the decor. Anyway the Sunday roast was very good rather than outstanding. Generous portion...and great selection of vegetables. Proper thickly sliced meat. The roast potatoes were not the best and I don’t like stuffing with beef or Yorkshire pudding with turkey! The dessert selection was quite limited but they were nice and not overpriced. Overall pretty good at a reasonable price . Good service from neatly attired staff.More
Had to adjust the reservation but it wasn't a problem and they responded straight away. The food was excellent, large portions , plenty of vegetables and lovely gravy. Meat thickly sliced ! Service good with just enough attention. After the mains we couldn't find room...for desserts !!More
Excellent food, great friendly service, good cask ale from JW Lees. Overall a great experience that took us back for a second visit later in the week.
