Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unexpectedly outstanding It is an unpretentious location..out the back of the Holiday Property Bond St Brides Castle. The stylishly decorated room would have wonderful views when it is not dark or raining. The food is brilliant. The local lamb in a very tasty source is...amazing. Twice the quantity at half the price of anywhere else. We have visited many times and everything, including challenging items like Calamari are perfectly prepared. Wonderful to find chips dry and crispy on the outside, not mushy inside. The young and enthusiastic 'staff' are very accomplished and provide a 'Michelin' standard of service. A hidden gem …go now before they get that Star!More

When I tried to book, one link said the bistro was “permanently closed “. It wasn’t until I contacted Reception that I managed to book. They are very much not closed, and the meal we had was terrific. I had the special: cod with a...delicious sauce. My husband opted for slow cooked lamb, which he pronounced equally delicious. My starter of mushrooms was lovely, whereas,my husband was disappointed with the quantity of venison pate though not with the quality. Being greedy, we both had a dessert; sorbet for me, ice cream for him. Service was faultless.More

Small restaurant, booking essential but excellent food. The slow cooked lamb full of flavour, good choice of veggies. Selection of desserts to suit all tastes. Friendly, efficient staff. Daily specials as well as normal menu. Always happy to eat here.

Thank you to the Bistro team for accommodating a table of 6 on Friday evening when some of the group were running late. Excellent service, super friendly team who were very happy to help with any requests. The location is stunning. The food was just...what we needed, hot and filling. Enough choices and a happy evening with the family. Thanks again.More

We had dinner here one night whilst 4 of us were staying at St Brides. Service was good but food was mediocre at best. Two of us had duck breast which was a special and we have never had such overcooked duck, absolutely no hint...of pink and dry. We pointed this out to the waiter but no come back to us. Slow roasted lamb was OK but nothing special. It was a shame as if our experience had been better we would certainly have booked for more nights during our week long stay.More

We dined on two occasions at Dylan's during our short stay and were delighted at both times. The service was exceptional; friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the Sirloin steak. My wife loved the fish and chips....On another night we had sea-bass and king prawns, which was also very good. The range of beers and wines was tempting. The tables were well spaced and the booking system ensured no over-crowding. We would highly recommend to our fellow HPB travellers.More

The service is always friendly, helpful and timely. I’d highly recommend eating here. If staying at HPB, do it early in your stay. You might go more than the once.

We ate at Dylan's Bistro during our recent stay in St Brides Castle, and we were very impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Our choices included a generous portion of whitebait as a starter, and an excellent smoked salmon...risotto and a chicken and mushroom pasta as main courses. The food was clearly freshly made. All in all, this was a really good meal, and one of the highlights of our stay. Definitely recommended!More

We all chose the slow cooked lamb, and it was excellent! Served with potatoes and veg, and it was no problem to accommodate gluten and dairy allergies. Had a nicely put together meringue, berries and vegan cream for dessert. It's not a huge menu, but...that's often a good sign it's all fresh. Lovely views, and very good service. Definitely recommended!More

Sirloin steak was only 40% edible and this was the first time in my life I've been served with wine at a restaurant table, with no pre-taste - I even had to open it myself! I felt my complaint was brushed off. Portions small for...the price.More

We ate here three times whilst staying in St. Brides Castle. They had only just re-opened as restrictions eased in Wales. As always, excellent food served by friendly, attentive but not intrusive staff.
