Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a top quality Sunday Roast with all the trimmings, all home made. I had lobster which was also excellent. Good range of ultra local beers. The staff were well spoken, polite and attentive.

London prices but really fresh sea bream, cooked to perfection. It was pan fried/oven baked and was lightly sprinkled with finely chopped onion/samphire/olive.

We had fresh Solva lobster with samphire as a special birthday treat. It was absolutely delicious. Chocolate fondant was divine and I left with a bottle of my favourite seaweed gin. This place is a gem.

A really excellent meal. We visited on 1st February when many restaurants were closed. Despite being the only customers that night, the welcome was second to none. You might imagine that under these circumstances, you would be rushed. Not at all! The menu was really...enticing. I had lobster, which was delicious as was everything else. We were even tempted to try the local seaweed gin. We also very much appreciated the choice of background music!More

Excellent meal beautifully prepared and presented. Best sea bass I’ve tasted in ages. Strongly recommend booking for a special treat, it was well worth the price.

There's a really nice vibe about this place which is robustly backed up by the excellent service, great selection of drinks, outstanding food and pleasant clientèle. We opted for steaks, they arrived cooked as requested with cracking chips and a great accompanying blue cheese sauce....Spotted the burger on another table, will have to go back for one of those...and the seafood platter on another table...ditto. Solid 5 stars, give it a go.More

If you like seafood, this is the place to go! We passed the place several times during our vacation in St. Davids, but the menu in the window did not appeal to us at first (I can’t remember why). When we finally went in (other...places were fully booked), it was a pleasant surprise. We went here again the next day. Great food, excellent prepared, friendly personnel and a nice vibe.More

The food was good enough but there is not much choice. The cheapest main course on a limited menu is around £30 and only a choice of two red wines by the glass, the rest of the reds were by the bottle. The menu appears...'surf and turf', but there was only one steak and that was 'steak of the day'. So, not a huge amount of choice. Nice venue, nice staff, nice food but, unfortunately, overpriced for a place that is just 'nice'.More

Hi Mary Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs in the restaurant. We are very small and also have no outside space. Sorry Neil
