See review under hotel as utilised as a pub which is an integral part of the hotel. Good choice of three ale's although not necesarily local.

From the outside this pub looks amazing, old building, traditional. But inside it's just a bit disappointing. Badly decorated and a pretty poor selection of real ales considering it's location. Not bad, just a bit average. (We didn't try the food though, maybe it's amazing.)
I had an awful meal there my partners was slightly better. The staff were young inexperienced and not trained in good customer service. Overall it was very disappointing.
Visited here when on business and ate on three occasions over two weeks. The food was inconsistent in quality and the service the same. Also ate at their sister hotel and have rated this.
Apparently they have a new chef - gorgeous food! The burger was probably the best tasting burger in a long time. Gorgeous beer garden with lovely grounds, perfect for a summer afternoon.
The food was Michelin quality. fantastic atmosphere and the service was spot on. Good choice of wines and beers.will be going back soon.
