I have over the years had many meals from the Breidden and can say that throughout this time they have been consistently good - last night by way of a celebration we stopped off for a take-away and to by a few drinks (for home...consumption of course) as always thoroughly enjoyed by all - keep up the good workMore

Amazing food, pleasant and kind staff, especially the owner. Nothing is ever a problem I can't thank them enough for giving my son a birthday cake...just a pleasure to visit 😊

Stopped to grab a takeaway on hot day, saw nice empty beer garden so bought round of drinks and grabbed a seat, owner made a scene and asked us to leave, spent more on the drinks then the food, poor kids were embarrassed, if prepared...to treat paying customers like this heaven knows what he's prepared to do with the food! Customer ordered a TAKEAWAY! not a restaurant EAT-IN meal. I explained, to this customer in a polite manner that TAKEAWAY orders are by the very meaning meant to taken-away and consumed off premises. For Eat-in restaurant diners, they can of course use our full range...More

We have a sited caravan just outside of Welshpool and fancied a chinese takeaway. We turned to good old Tripadvisor and found The Breidden. Technically not in Welshpool and 12km away from where we we were but worth the 20 minute drive. You can order...ahead using their website stating what time you want to collect. We had battered sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, chicken chow mein and enough prawn crackers to feed the rest of the the caravan park and all for £15.20. It was ready on the dot and you pay on collection. All the food was lovely and I've picked up a menu as will definitely be ordering from here again!More

We rang up to find out if dogs were allowed inside, as it's a pub but were told we would have to sit outside in the garden. We thought we'd do this so drove there for dinner. When we arrived, we parked in the front...but immediately noticed that the garden is to the side of the pub and there's the main road only a few feet away. I sat outside with our dog whilst my husband got a menu, by the time he'd come back I said we're getting a take away as the traffic was quite busy and I just didn't want to sit outside eating. The menu was good and we ordered a few dishes and my husband got a pint whilst he waited for our order, which he enjoyed. We got chicken balls in batter with sweet and sour sauce, very good and tasty. I got chicken with pineapple and ginger - this was also good, the pieces of ginger were very big! Chicken chow mein - this tasted good but didn't look so good, quite a few black pieces in it which I picked out. An egg fried rice which was ok, not a lot of egg though. Overall it was a tasty take away and we'd go here again if in the area.More

Had a rare child free night, so popped in to pick up a takeaway - to save the picking anguish, we picked a set meal for 2 (option B)for £20 - Yuk Shun and lettuce to start, a pork, a chicken and beef dish plus...a portion of rice for mains, plus prawn crackers. I hadn't pre ordered, but was cooked and ready within 20 mins. We were full, with leftovers.... All was very excellent!More

We went to the Breidden for the first time last night. The food was excellent and served piping hot. We had set meal A for 2 people and I couldn’t fault any of it. Really impressed. It’s the best Chinese meal I have had in...the Welshpool area. The pub itself is a little tired but is clean. The proprietors and staff were all very friendly. We will definitely be returning.More

Good food at reasonable prices with friendly staff. Typical pub otherwise. It was the company that made the visit.

Me and my family always come to this pub whenever we want a Chinese. A good 30 minute drive from our house but always worth it. By far the best Chinese around.
