Favourite for takeaway, the food is fresh, chicken tender and gracious polite service. Recommend the chicken chettinad.

You can always expect and receive excellent food and service at this Crows Nest favourite. It seems like it's been here for a long time. Good fresh curries with plenty of flavour.

Four of us visited on Saturday night 14 Jan. Service, ambience good and food really tasty and very well presented. Brother in law requested a very 'hot' curry and they catered for his choice. Food portions generous but not 'in your face'. Very tasty food at a reasonable price plus brilliant option of bring your own wine and pay corkage... More

A simple but excellent menu beautiful presentation and preparation Quiet atmosphere the night we were there Staff efficient friendly and obtrusive A few novel and very interesting dishes but all the North Indian standard one for the less adventurous

I don't really have much more to add to what other reviewers have said. Yes, the dosai are a 'must order'. The curries are very good. I agree that perhaps a little more variety for mains would be in order. The service was attentive, if not a little impersonal, and at first there was a delay in getting our drinks... More

The food at Malabar is pretty good by Australian standards. The service is always great and the restaurant is busy. The menu could do with a few more selections, Apart from that we will be back

Hard to find good Indian but Malabar ticked all the right boxes. Chicken tikka and Mysore chilli chops were great entrees with good spice. Lamb rogan josh was delicious - 2 entrees and a main was plenty for the 2 or us. Decent wine menu as well - will go back soon.

Very popular restaurant, has large capacity and private dining areas, service is of a very good standard, food is very tasty and plentiful and BYO. Have visited on many occasions as couple and with a party of 25, always a great dining experience. Good value and very good overall.

My absolute favourite Indian restaurant in Crows Nest (& there's plenty to choose from!). It should be compulsory for everyone to order a dosia. My second favourite dish is the spinach chaat. Guarantee me You won't be disappointed

Hi

We came to your restaurant tonight and were very disappointed as we had rang and booked a high chair and when we got there we were told that because it's busy we can't have one and was offered a booster seat which is not the same!! The guy in the front desk (not sure if he's the owner or whatever, doesn't make a difference) was not very apologetic about the whole situation and just rudely explained that it's busy tonight and that they only have two chairs. I'm sorry but that's not my problem and I was not told at time of booking. So we had to leave which ruined our whole night as you can imagine we had a 2 year old and it's not easy to just wander around looking for another place to eat. And even when we walked out the guy at the front desk didn't seem to care, such bad customer service!! You might get a lot of people coming in but you have to remember if people have a bad experience they may not return and word of mouth spreads fast. We actually came last Sunday as well and again we had booked a high chair and when we arrived there were none available but we waited and was told we will get one soon and there was a nice waiter who sincerely apologised and made it worth the wait, much better than the treatment we got tonight!!!!!!! We didn't want to argue as it was late already.

When are you expecting to get more high chairs so this doesn't happen again??? And can you please advise families who require high chairs at the time of booking that it's subject to availability so they are not made to wait. And maybe try and be more apologetic when you are not able to provide your customers with their requirements, instead of making them feel like it was their fault!!!

I look forward to a reply. We came this weekend because we had a good time last weekend but from what happened tonight I don't know!!!!!

Thanks

Christina Katsiambirtas
