We had not visited this venue for quite some time and were surprised at the new changes. All the beautiful local art work had gone and it looked bare in comparison. The food was fine but we missed the variety of choice. We were a bit disappointed with the little teapot for tea for 2! Not sure what happened there,... More

Hi there, I am also not sure what happened but we only serve our (T2) tea in single person pots (ie we do not have any large teapots) and that generally provides about a cup and a half. We are always very happy to top them up when requested. Thus if two people want tea, we send out two teapots,... More

Great coffee and as well the waitress on Tuesday 28th was so friendly and welcoming to me and because this was the polar opposite to interactions I had earlier that day with other people elsewhere who took a dislike to me just because of who I am...well, it just made my day and gave me hope for the world, and... We've been here before and know it serves good food and coffee. We had guests from the UK enjoyed lunch here. The food from the menu was great and there are always daily specials.

We had breakfast here, a little expensive, $70 for 2 big breakfast, coffee and juice. Good size servings, coffee was good. The inside is very nice to sit and eat on a rainy day, outside would be pleasant on a nice day. The cakes all look homemade and looked delicious.

Fun wine bar to meet friends at communal table or smaller tables for 4 -6. Great wines...but watch the prices and excellent Tapas style food or full meals!

We had a great lunch. Serving sizes were good. Heaps of chips in bowl. Really really good coffees. Service attentive and fast. Was nice and quiet on a Monday lunch which we loved. Locals love this place. Will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our recent dinner experience at the Village Café / wine bar in Flinders. The building is full of character, with several rooms inside to choose from. Outdoor seating is also plentiful and at this time of year it was the place to be. Service from all of the floor staff was professional and attentive but also warm... More

One of my favourite cafes on the Mornington Peninsula. Great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We particularly love the burger!

Description
Located in a charming heritage listed cottage next to the old Post office, we serve modern Australian food with an emphasis on freshness, seasonality and local suppliers. Breakfast is served from 8.00am and includes croissants, fruit toast, bircher muesli, smashed avocado, and eggs any way preferred. Our coffee was recently voted the best in the Peninsula by the local tourism group, and it is fresh roasted every week. Cakes, muffins and biscuits are baked in our kitchen every morning, including our famous passion-fruit sponge. Lunch has more of a bistro element, with old favourites such as seafood bisque and house-made sausage rolls served alongside fresh Flathead fillets, Chefs Salad (which changes regularly, based on availability of local produce) and Croque Monsieur. We have an an extensive winelist, with a wide range of wine by the glass starting at $6 all the way up to Chateau Petrus at $8,000 for the bottle. However we do focus heavily on the excellent local chardonnay's, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir's. We also open as a wine bar from 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays with a range of bar foods (such as French Onion Pizetta and an excellent Antipasto plate) and main meals that currently includes Steak Diane and Moules Mariniere (mussels). We also have an extensive range of dark and lager beers, many from local breweries. Our beer garden, located out the back in our deck and garden area, has two local beers on tap. As summer continues on, come and join us for a beer, a French rose or perhaps a jug of Pimms on our sunny outdoor deck !
