The restaurant backs onto Kananook Creek and has a lovely outlook. The meals and service were excellent and the menu was quite extensive. There is plenty of off street parking.

The setting outside on a warm sunny day is fanatic ,nicely shaded. However the food was not to my liking. The shared earth board was only fair the steak was better. The service was efficent and pleasant. A nice place for a romantic lunch or dinner if you are not too particular about the food ,perhaps my choice of food... More

The boathouse is situated off Nepean hway with plenty of car parking, it overlooks kana nook creek, the out door eating area is treed, lush and appealing. Inside the decor is simple , the service is great, we felt under no pressure to order or to leave after the meal. The meal was fresh, tasty and enjoyable, bathrooms clean.

Enjoyed a beautiful lunch here lovely service plenty of choices of dishes. We had the hunter platter and then only needed entrees to follow as well as a light glass of house sauvignon blanc . A lovely view on the creek and it was great because it wasn't too noisy.

The 'Earth Board' was great, but we queried the artichokes that were missing! Celeriac Remoulade to die for - if you've never tried, give it a shot, this is magnificent food. I love that you can share dishes here. Must have the Candy Lane Martini dessert & watch it being made. This dish is a work of art, not to... More

My family, while on holiday, made our home base in Frankston. Yes, Frankston. All the folks in Melbourne asked us, "why are you staying in Frankston?" Our answer, "why NOT?" We found Frankston to have some of the best food in the whole state. The best of the best was found, by us, one lunch time, right before Christmas, at... More

We were greeted and our orders were taken very promptly. Our entree came and were taken away while we still had a couple of bits and pieces left on our tasting plate - we assumed they wanted to take it away as we were only picking at what was left and our mains must be on their way. How wrong... More

Thanks for the feedback Ryan, not quite accurate! Yes it was a busy night and unfortunately we were one staff member down as I explained and apologized to you at the till. I have had a look at the time stamps on the dockets, you ordered at 6:53pm and had two courses, including a substantial "Earth Board" and oysters for... More

Thanks brazzags for the review, unfortunately the kangaroo cannot be served rare as it is served as saltimbocca as per the description... "Kangaroo saltimbocca on creamed parmesan polenta, sautéed kale, glazed carrots and a marsala sauce" The kangaroo is seared in the pan, then deglazed with the marsala and sauce then rested in the oven... Sorry to offend you but... More

Eight of us visited for Xmas function and whilst food was ok it was nothing special for expensive meals. Saganki was over-cooked and rubbery, whilst flathead was also cooked too long. Red wines were rather warm, perhaps needing to be stored better? Garlic with scallops was over-bearing. 3 scallops for $20+ a bit rich. Wouldn't race back.

Hi Trevor, thanks for your review, would love to hear more about what you ate and your suggestions. perhaps send me an email. The scallops are actually $18 for an entree and now with a better supplier you get more. Merry Christmas More

A fantastic dinner venue that never disappoints. Whether it be summer or winter the dining options are available to suit. Great spot for a romantic dinner in really relaxed and intimate surroundings. Have had a number of dishes and wines at this restaurant and haven't had a bad meal yet. Staff always friendly and efficient.
