We spent the rest of the weekend raving about his place to anyone who would listen. The appetiser squid was the best calamari we've ever eaten - soft, texture like butter but with a fantastic crunch in the tempura batter. The house made gnocchi is available gluten free and is amazing - soft little pillows that maintain shape and texture... More

This is a fabulous seafood plus other dishes restaurant. Day and evening menus differ slightly which is good. Great chef with interesting menu. Licensed with a range from local wineries. Desserts are to die for. Just try them all. Great views and wonderful atmosphere. Wait staff all friendly and helpful. A must if your passing through or staying on.

Our group of 4 dined inside for an evening meal. This restaurant has a lovely ambience, lovely views & a menu of delectable food choices. We shared an antipasto platter - pork terrine, cheese, yummy dip, juicy semi dried tomatoes, olives, balsamic olive oil, bread & more. This shared platter was plenty for 4 to enjoy with wine & beer... More

Had a fantastic entree of oysters kilpatrick, although the other entree of flathead fish cakes were dry and really needed a dipping sauce. Main meals were nice, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. Great views, and lovely service, all waiters and waitresses were fantastic and made sure we were looked after.

Description
Making its home in the picturesque little fishing village of Port Albert, 'Wildfish' is South Gippsland's premier waterfront restaurant. With a simple philosophy of producing the freshest local seafood caught by local fishermen 'Wildfish' is much welcomed in the food and wine circles of Gippsland. Occupying the site of the old fishermen's co-op, diners are likely to see the fresh seafood on the menu being unloaded from the fishing boats on the wharf at the front of the restaurant. Port Albert is such a special place, with rich maritime history, beautiful natural scenery and surrounded by some of the countries best National Parks. A picturesque two and a half hour drive from Melbourne and you're already relaxed.
