Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped in for a bite prior to catching a Nashville Sounds baseball game. Enjoyed a Classic Bavarian Pretzel which was hot, soft and fresh. Beer cheese and spicy mustard dipping sauces were the perfect accompaniment. Also had the Classic Bratwurst which was very good (wished...it was hotter, temperature-wise). Lightly toasted buttery sausage roll was fresh and tasty. Didn’t care much for the Lime Slaw as it lacked any real flavor. Extensive beer menu. I had a very good Tulip New Heights IPA. Service was attentive and friendly.More

Went with a group of 4 people for brunch and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed. Our waiter was really awesome and took care of us for sure. Answered all our questions and had some good suggestions. I’m had the pancakes they...were delicious. The others had like an omelet skillet and potato’s they said were really good. The place is huge and definitely good for big groups. Our cocktails we got were so big! Love they serve that size! Had a great time here!More

This location is average. We were there on Trivia night and it was a full house . They were about to shift from Fall to a winter beer menu, so they were out of 30% of their beers. Bar Staff were ok, knowledgeable about the...various beers and did provide good recommendations. Their large steins are 1L. The pretzels were great.More

SUMMARY. Lively bar at the heart of my favorite neighborhood in Nashville: Germantown. Beer garden style table seating (think lunch tables) with tons of beer and great food! Highly recommend! RESERVATION. No reservation required. They may take them, I'm not sure, but I've never made...one and never have had a problem. AMBIENCE. Very lively. What you would expect from from an American-style beer garden. The crowd skews to the young side (definitely a lot of Vanderbilt undergraduates and probably other students a well), but it is by no means a college bar. I know plenty of all ages who frequent this spot. LOCATION. Location is in the heart of Germantown, which is my favorite neighborhood in Nashville and just north of downtown. Parking is not terrible if you drive down a couple of blocks and park for free on 4th or 5th. Can't beat it! QUALITY. Quality is good. It's not an upscale sit-down restaurant, but for being a beer garden their food is still very good. I recommend the Brussels sprouts. I've been there when they've run out of them, so apparently I'm not the only one who enjoys them! Either way, you can't go wrong with any of the numerous types of beer they have! SERVICE. Service can be spotty but is generally very good. It's a hectic place, so I've been there before when it's been packed and difficult to track down a server. Still, considering the crowds, they do a very good job in my opinion. The upshot is that you'll never have to wait long for beer, as you can order it straight from the bar! VALUE. Value is great. My girlfriend and I recently split an appetizer and had two drinks apiece for ~$55 all-in w/ tax and tip. I was thrilled. TAKEAWAYS. Lively beer garden at the heart of Germantown with great beer and food at a reasonable price. I've been several times, and I'll surely be back again! Happily, Clayton CohnMore

Went with friends after arriving in Nashville. We got a variety of food/appetizers and all were 👍🏼 (traditional pretzel, pepperoni/cheese pretzel, sausage sampler, cheese curds). Lots of beer options as well. Was hoping for spetzle, but there wasn’t any on the menu.

If you aren't sure you are eating food, you get shuttled outside whether you want too or not. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Music was good. Food we ordered was terrible and expensive. $10 for a pretzel covered in cheese with about 8 jalapeno slices....Brat was under cooked. When complained was told it was smoked. We smoke our own brats and they never taste undercooked, nor do they look pinkish-red when you bite into it. Management didn't seem to think there was anything wrong. Had the Adobo chicken bowl..such a refreshing change from some of the other Nashville food. Husband had the sausage sampler… which he enjoyed. Home-cooked…delicious! Finished with the huge brownie dessert…warm and gooey. Atmosphere was casual. Animal friendly a plus. Next to the baseball stadium…highly recommend.
