My wife and I felt like we were back in Naples, Italy when we stepped into DeSano Pizza for an early dinner. The staff was warm and welcoming and the 3 grand ovens and master pizza makers working right in front of us were very impressive! While we waited for our 2 pizzas (San Gennaro & Lasagna) we had the... More

We arrived at 11am for an early lunch, and the place began to fill up quickly behind us. There is a lot of seating, and our server told us that it is usually a very busy place. The pizza was excellent, and we enjoyed the view of pizza makers and wood stoves while we ate. The ingredients were fresh, and... More

But it's not amazing. Granted, Nashville has lousy pizza so this makes DeSano better by default but it's frustrating that they have had a guiding hand from Antico out of Atlanta (perhaps the best pizza I've ever had) but it's not even half as good. 2 small pizzas, a seltzer water and a 4oz cup of wine was $48.

Authentic handmade pizza. Very casual atmosphere, seat yourself. Very large portions, made fresh, plenty of toppings and friendly service. Great leftover, too! Near Vanderbilt if you're exploring that area. Small parking area, though.

We all enjoyed this pizza place twice on back-to-back days. The calzones are great too. Everything is made fresh right in front of you.

this is probably my favorite pizza ever!! it's amazing to say the least. i recommend to anyone. the only downside is very little parking and during busy times there is little seating and sometimes very loud parties going on. we live in franklin and wish we had one closer :)

This place never fails to amaze. The food is incredible each and every time. Whenever I eat pizza somewhere else, I wonder why we didn't go to DeSano's. The pizza is great as is, but the offerings at the condiment bar take it over the edge. I love the Diavola (sp?) piazza and my hubby loves the Vesuvio calzone. The... More

This is a favorite place for lunch /dinner of our Vandy student. He likes to go there when we visit him. It is casual place. Order at counter and then food is delivered to your table which is picnic style tables. I love that you see the cooks making your food in the 3 wood fired ovens. Guiseppe told us... More

This crust is one of my favorites, but soggy crust is a no no. The pizza's were large and lacking in tomato sauce. Each pizza we ordered was below par. However, the spinach caprese salad was excellent and very large. Unfortunately, service was lacking and we had loads of dirty dishes at our table for our entire dinner.

Pizza very good. Setting very casual in the bar area but can be noisy. Service good. Good selection of beer.

Are you ready to embark on the most affordable trip your mouth will ever take to Italy?!?Staying true to tradition, our Pizza Napoletana is as authentic as it gets!Using Mozzarella di Bufala made for us earlier in the week in a small town in Campania ...then flown in fresh … or maybe our flour which is shipped over by boat …no no, how about our salt which comes straight from the Mediterranean Sea! This trend continues ...for EVERY single one of our ingredients … I know, it's the real deal!We open at 11:30am, Monday through Saturday, and close as soon as the dough runs out… sorry, it's made fresh, DAILY! And yes, we are not open Sunday, as it's a day to spend with family! So please, do us a favor and stop by to try what pizza is SUPPOSED to taste like. And don't worry if you have limited time, as our hand-made wood burning ovens, with volcanic rockbottoms from Mount Vesuvius, cook your pizza in 60 seconds … it's ok to say wow.. but trust me, you'llbe saying it again when you take that first bite ;)Grazie Mille!
