Four of us had dinner here on a Sunday night. The menu had a nice selection and the food was delicious. Our waitress Tara was attentive and friendly. We did order one of the specials (flank steak) which I would suggest. The green beans were the best I have had. It was very neat and clean and comfortable for conversation... More

We came on a Saturday for lunch and found that they serve from a brunch menu that offers good variety They have the best French onion soup I've had in a long time. Sandwiches and cottage fries are very good. They call their cottage fries hash browns on the menu. Wines by the glass are lacking . We didn't try... More

We chose this restaurant due to tripadvisor, a Nashville guidebook and availability. Husband's quote, "It served its purpose." Yes, we were fueled up, no it was not great. The first thing we noticed was that the dining room was half empty on a Friday night at 8 p.m., not a very good sign. Waitress was very friendly. Although wine list... More

We enjoyed a great lunch on a Wednesday, with parking easy to find mid-week. The NashTrash bus tour had recommended this Cafe, a favorite of theirs, and it didn't disappoint. We came for the soup recommendation and enjoyed a salad with it. A great atmosphere, wonderful service, and dreamy cheesy onion soup!

We went to German fest. In Nashville no German food. But met a great sign maker wee.littledesogns.com. So we desired to eat at Germantown cafe. No German food there either. However we were greatly pleased and surprised with the wonderful food. Has to be the best food in Nashville

We stayed in Nashville for about a week on business. We went to the Germantown Cafe with some family members who live in Nashville because it's one of their favorite in-town spots. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a nice view. The menu has preparations that you don't find everywhere, and they were all good. The plum pork was especially... More

First visit, pleasant cafe decor. Our French Onion Soup was a 4 if, as at most restaurants highly salty. My side Caesar on the other hand lacked salt. My Chicken Pot Pie was the biggest disappointment of all. More of an overcooked mushy casserole with indiscernible bits of chicken and vegetables hidden in an overly rich sauce that reminded me... Terrific brunch fare and highly recommended. Try to find on street parking, as the lot across the street is pricey.

We stayed right near this place on our recent trip to Nashville and decided to try it out for dinner. It was a very nice dinner with a great atmosphere. I had the curried salmon and it was amazing!!

Enjoy the fried green tomatoes, enjoy the complimentary salad, ponder the various specials and delight in pork belly with plum, a joy. as well as modern tweaks to classics like meat loaf. Great service and attention to detail. Only critique do we have to keep the same knives for starters, salads and mains?
