the restaurant is inside the farmers market but it is close on Saturday, to my understanding, due to religion beliefs. this is the best jamaican food I ever had and at very good price. Highly recommend their jerk chicken.

If you like adventure and lots of flavor, you can't do better at the Farmers Market food court than Jamaicaway! Great cooking, authentic recipes, served with spirit, this place knows what it's doing.

If you want a real taste of the Caribbean, Jamaicaway will take good care of you. It's not some chain run by yuppies, it's really good authentic home cooking. If you like the spice just right, get it on FIYAH. You can't go wrong with their falling off the bone jerk chicken or give the Ox Tail a try.

This has been on my bucket list for quite a while. finally got to Nashville with time to enjoy a good lunch. The construction on the north end of the market has taken away a lot of parking but searching out a spot is well worth the time. I enjoyed the curried goat fresh collards and braised cabbage. Came for... More

Cafeteria-style inside the Farmer's Market. What a treasure! The food is prepared onsite, and it's very tasty. Authentic Jamaican cuisine: jerk, curry, fish, rice, desserts. Menu has vegetarian and vegan options, too.

Never been to Jamaica, but been to several restaurants in many cities. This one is the real deal - great goat curry and patties.

Saw it on Diner, DriveIn and Dives but never went looking for it. The trolley tour stops at the Farmer Market and there it was. It looks like a typical steam food serving counter but that is where the comparison stops. Diverse dishes with varying heat ranges all properly warned. Ox tail (great), chicken, beef and many side dishes, including... More

Stopped by for lunch. The food is served from a serving line. It all looked so delicious however I chose the Ox Tail, Jamaican Rice and Cabbage. The flavors were perfect, the ox tail so tender, and the portion was ample. I also had a fresh fruit juice which was well worth the three dollar price. Nice little place.

Everything I ordered (vegetarian chicken, plantains & mashed potatoes) was good except for the mashed potatoes. They were instant and I threw them out! I had to wait for the "chicken" as they prepare it to order.

As someone who spent 17 years in Jamaica, I try to visit Jamaican restaurants wherever I go. Some are good, some are not. This one, I'm glad to report is excellent! A bit rough and ready décor wise, and located in an old farmer's market, it may not be appealing to people who are finicky about these kinds of things,... More
