This was our second time eating here and it was just as wonderful as the first time. We started with the calamari appetizer which was plenty for the four of us. My husband and I both had steaks and they were melt in your mouth...More

This was our first time at Jimmy Kelly's. My husband was a little uncomfortable at first with the "fancy steak house" setting, but as soon as he tasted the shrimp bbq appetizer, he was in heaven!! We each ordered a steak and they were amazing....More

My wife and I ate at Jimmy Kelly's for our anniversary and enjoyed everything about it but most of all the service. Our server, Keith, is exceptional.. attentive but not overbearing. Our steaks, a bleu cheese filet and a Kansas City Strip, were very good...More

We came here on Saturday night with friends. We were seated immediately. Despite overflow crowds, given our reservation. I told the staff in advance that my white needed an accommodation for a foot injury, and they went the extra mile for us. The steaks were...More

We were celebrating our anniversary and went to Nashville for the weekend! This was our “big” Anniversary dinner. Sad to say that the “hero” of the meal and what the menu and server brag on was the largest disappointment. I ordered the bleu cheese stuffed...More

When I go to a steak house, I expect the steak to be great. Instead, my favorite part of the meal was my baked potato. If this were Outback, I would say it was okay, but I paid $40 for a ribeye and I expect...More

Great food and service at one of Nashville's long time premier restaurant. The building is a historical location. Servers and management will give you the history if asked.

Jimmy Kelly's is housed in an old mansion just a mile west of the downtown business district. Valet parking at the door. They are known for steaks and great service, and they delivered on both of those. We had a reservation and were seated immediately....More

We love the signature fried corn bread. Our entrees were 2 petite filets (ideal size for the ladies); a New York strip; and blackened salmon. Everything was cooked perfectly. Scott, our server, was informative and his timing for beverages and service was perfect.

I eat there and had no problem but I did tell them ahead of time that I was gluten free. Honestly though I would choose a different steakhouse if it were me. I have found the steaks at Mortons or Kayne Prime or Stoney... More

I don't think so - this place can be pretty laid back - casual and dressy is OK. If you're coming with more than four though, I'd definitely make reservations

Sure they are. We started bringing our daughter when she was about 10. Now that she is 23 it's still her favorite restaurant.

Housed in a glorious Southern mansion in the heart of Music City, Jimmy Kelly’s continues to be the standard by which all American steakhouses are measured. Founded in 1934 while the country was in the throes of the Great Depression and just one year removed from the repeal of prohibition, Jimmy Kelly made a promise to himself and his diners. Simply put, he would serve a great steak, a generous portion of whiskey and insure the service was always attentive. Making good on that promise has been the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success and enabled it to survive and flourish. Now over 80 years later and operated by the third generation of Kellys, it has earned a reputation as one of the grand old restaurants not only in Nashville but the entire southeast. Come anytime and enjoy a great steak and a generous portion of whiskey!
