A wonderful, even romantic, end to our day hiking the Fiery Gizzard Trail, made possible by this outstanding, imaginative chef and professional wait staff. Eager to accommodate vegans; great wine selection; quiet dining room; ample parking; elegant yet cozy venue; delicious water. Our second visit confirmed our impressions from our first. Wish it were in Huntsville.

While visiting family in TN we drove about 40 min. from Flintville to Sewanee. We had not heard of Sewanee or the University of the South before this visit. We're glad we made the trip. We drove through the campus and were amazed at all the beautiful old buildings. It was worth the trip itself and worth another trip just... More

I have a few occasions to go to business meetings at the Sewanee Inn (see my review). Really neat city with some amazing restaurants but I just found an amazing one...IvyWild. My wife joined me on the second day of my travel and I loved this place so much, I took her there for my second night in a row.... More

One would never think of a place tucked away so well to serve such excellent food. Peanut soup, Duck, Filet, Grits........ And the service was excellent!

What a gem. Decor is minimalist but staff friendly and knowledgeable. The star her is the food. Dining companion told it was the best steak she had ever had. It was excellent. Ever course was first rate.

I have been to Ivy wild numerous times and have never been disappointed. The food was very good. The cocktail for my spouse was wonderful. I don't drink liquor but I loved it.

This restaurant is only open Thursday-Sunday as the owners (a Sewanee professor) works and owns another restaurant (Crossroad's Cafe). The food is incredible and they offer local cuisine with a continuously changing menu. You have to try the breaking bread!

We recently ate at Ivy Wild and after several other visits, we were completely disappointed in all aspects of our meal. The service was slow, they were out of several items (2 dinner entrees - and the menu is limited to start), the portions were very small. The carrot and beet salad had about 3 slices of beets and 6... More

This is a high-end dining experience: service, food, etc. Several years ago the portions tended to be small, but now they are more generous. A nice selection of entrees. Everything we have ever eaten at IvyWild has been excellent.

Pricey food. Small portions. How do restaurants get away with this? If I'm sitting there thinking about stopping at Burger King on the way home because I know I will still be hungry, there's something dreadfully wrong here. Three dots of blackberry jam across the plate as an artistic presentation to the food is automatically tantamount to exorbitant prices? NO!... More
