We hadn't eaten at the locally popular Chicken Oil Company in years. As we were in the vicinity late this morning, we decided to have an early lunch. The place is really fascinating with all kinds of rustic relics and decor. From the outside, the building looks like it's on its last legs, but that's all part of the culture... More

Atmosphere is way laid back and casual. You order from the counter then sit back, enjoy Your beverage of choice, and get a freshly made burger and great fries. Do they have Other things, of course, but why go to a great burger place for a salad??

If you want something different, this is it. Burgers are ok but the cheese fries are slamming. Building is what makes this place have its charm and massive appeal. Friendly and relax atmosphere. Stop by if in town and get you a burger

We went with a large group and picked Chicken Oil over Dixie Chicken because of the TA reviews. Chicken Oil is a nice, kitschy "rustic" place that does burgers quite well. The prices are reasonable, and the burger is pretty good. I think if we had been drinking (like everyone else in the bar), things likely would have been a... More

Chicken Oil Company is a really neat place to go and hang out. The food is consistent. The wait is never long, however it is standard American cuisine. Burgers, Chicken, salads, that sort of thing. It's not out of this world, but you will get a good meal. The reason I go back is for the atmosphere. There is always... More

This is the place to go for a great burger and cold drinks in a turn of the century atmosphere . Been a Texas Aggie tradition for years .

First off, love the atmosphere. Cool old decor. TVs around for sports fans. Staff was very friendly. Food was okay at best. We got a chicken fried steak and a hamburger and "average" is as good as I could give it. Probably will not return.

This is an old gas station converted to a restaurant that serves THE best burgers in College Station/Bryan, Texas. Tasty and delicious!

The chicken oil co is a large wooden shack that's situated on a bombed out Parking lot in Bryan Tx Usually you would Describe such a place by next saying it's not much to look at but that is not the case here. It's an awesome place to look at. Think of a whole place decorated with what you would... More
