Close to Parkland hospital and UT Southwest medical center. A wild part of town, very old, they cook at night and serve until it's gone. Cute old school desks to sit and eat or a newer building with tables for groups if you need it, BUT THE BBQ IS TO DIE FOR.

Why not drive 5 min. and experience the real Sonny Bryans on Inwood by the Salvation army. It's the smoke house where it all began? Lovers Lane franchised outlet Standard cafeteria style BBQ line, hard bench type seats, much cleaner , modern and branded outlet of the real Sonny Bryans.

Great Ribs and wings. The portions are big so an app is all you need unless you are really hungry. The Onion rings were a bit burnt but was still good. Highly recommend this restaurant. The wait staff were friendly.

Smelling like a dog doesn't make you a dog. Smelling like a smoke house doesn't mean that your brisket is fresh, cut thick and juicy. Ours was dry, which meant it had been out too long to serve. Beans were okay, bread okay, sausage good. Over all its not a place I'll be going back to.

While we did not visit the "original" at Inwood, the Lover's Lane restaurant is very good. Again we were checking out all the barbeque joints in Dallas, and this was a particular favorite. Again I ordered the brisket and again I was pleasantly surprised by the moist and tender offering. Sauce is provided, but again it is not necessary. The... More

The meat melts in your mouth, the smoky taste of the cooking process permeates your pallet. One of the constantly best smoked meats provided daily. Rustic and friendly, It's old Dallas, no mess no fuss, just good food. Not much on the veggie side, but good fries and don't miss the fired okra.

If you ask anybody that has lived in Dallas over 20 years where the best BBQ is they will tell you Sonny Bryans. Texas BBQ really does not get any better than this, all the traditional meats like Sausage, Brisket and Ribs......especially the Ribs! Strongly recommend.

My family and I love Sonny Bryan's Big Tator - a huge baked potato - stuffed with their delicious BBQ meats - beef brisket, pulled pork, pulled smoked chicken or sausage - along with the usual things baked potatoes are served with - butter, shredded cheddar cheese and green onion slices. I'm not a sour cream fan but you can... More

Dont really have anything overwhelmingly positive or negative to say about this spot. I got a platter that had every single meat on it, and not one of them was very good. Lacking in strong flavor and somewhat dry and boring. The bread was incredible, but if your a BBQ joint in Dallas I dont think thats what you want... More

Fast service, good food, very casual. Order at counter, lots of typical BBQ selections and sides, beer, etc., very good, extremely casual. Usually go there go there when in Dallas. Great for take out too.l
