This is a local favorite with some of the best pancakes in town! People who frequent the Circuit of The Americas have to make this stop as the service is great and the food is good ole home cooking.....

I have returned to the Austin area and discovered this gem, just a few short miles from my house. It is my "go to" place and so far, I have taken 8 visitors to experience a library like never before!!

The restaurant is at least as big as the library. It's very popular in the area and a friend just told me about it and I've been in the Austin area for over 35 years!

Eat at a Library, wow! Great food too. Right on highway between Greater weirdest Austin and Fabulous country Bastrop. Many food choices. Prices are a bit high.

Get out to Garfield Library for some great eats. This place rocks and then you can swing by Live Oak Brewery on the way back to Austin!

We stopped by here at 10:30 on a Monday, place was probably 1/2 full. Everything on the menu is comfort food - eggs, chicken fried steak, etc. Breakfast is available all day. I had the western omelet which was perfect. Each and every bite had onion, peppers, ham, and cheese in it. Some places just lump all the ingredients into... More

Arrived about 11:15AM Tuesday, February 28th, 2017. Gave name. Told about a 10 minute wait. Three locals asked the two of us if we wanted to share the table for six they have set for joiners, add-ons or meeting others. Menus and drinks came in short order. Watched food coming out of the kitchen. Burgers and breakfast plates are large.... More

The folks at the HTS are always friendly and make you feel at home. Make sure you go hungry because they do not skimp on portions. Breakfasts are huge and tasty. I have a tough time deciding on pancakes or biscuits. Need extra gravy? no problem. Eggs any way you want. hash browns or home fries. Both are good. For... More

A library And a restaurant? Sure enough! Fantastic home cooked meals on one side of the building and the local library on the other. Place was full on a Saturday afternoon, and it's no wonder. Great food, great service, great prices. Bring your appetite, as the plates are stacked full of good country favorites such as chicken fried steak with... More
