This place must be about 40 years old and looks like nothing has changed, but it is clean and well maintained. The help is great... they are friendly and efficient. Food was good and healthy. Looks like a lot of the locals eat there.

Looking for a lunch stop crossing from Oklahoma into Texas on Highway 75 I was directed to Nick's Family Restaurant in Denison. Special that day was beef stroganoff and I gave it a try. The beef was from tenderloin and the pasta and sauce was superb. Best beef stroganoff I have ever had. The entire menu was down home style... More

This place is "where it's at". The Mac and beef soup was just like the goulash my Mom used to fix when I was a kid! And I couldn't believe how big the piece of Cheesecake was, I mean it was huge. This place has a lot of history also. It used to be Ernie's long ago and my Dad... More

Located just a couple blocks from Eisenhower's birthplace but note they close at 3pm. Great home cooking with very large portions. Reasonably priced & the friendliest folks work there. It's where the locals hang out & they know everyone by name that walks in the door. If you're a guest they immediately know it & make you feel welcome!

I stopped here yesterday. The soups are homemade and I had the best chicken and dumplings ever. The brother had some delicate garlic butter flavor that 50 times stronger you might dip lobster in. I had the farmers skillet which is the meat lovers dream come true with ham, sausage, and bacon. There was a little onion and a slice... More

We were recommended to Nick's by someone at The Eisenhower Birthplace & it did not disappoint!! Simple hometown diner---but super fast service with very friendly staff! Had lunch one day & returned for breakfast the next morning--it was that good!!

Nothing fancy, simple diner food. It was good though. Hubby got the Nick's skillet and loved it. I got the 2 egg breakfast. It was good, but the best part was the biscuits! They were so light and fluffy!

Thank Jennifer D
