Don't let the exterior or location put you off, this is authentic Mexican food NOT Texmex. Prepared just as it would be in Monterey, Mexio and served in portions that satisfy the biggest appetite, you will find the wait well worth it. We ordered the Nachos Rancheros and found enough food to feed two of us. The bill was less... More

Actually stopped at the Bar-b-q place next door but didn't like the dine in area so thought we would check out this place next door...nothing to look at in terms of decor/ambience (it was empty) & cheap table settings etc BUT I really loved my food! Everything made fresh daily...cheap prices & friendly young waitress...I had a beef taco ($3)with... More

Prices were cheap but so was the quality of the food. I ordered Steak Ranchero which they were out of, so I then got enchiladas. The chicken was was decent. The cheese enchilada was gross. Cheap cheese. It was nice that it was a mom and pop type of place. I prefer supporting families over chain restaurants. It wasn't awful,... More

very small restaurant but the food is great. Sometimes the staff is very busy so it's a little slow but it's always worth the wait! Everything we've eaten here has been very good.

My family and I got hungry on the road. We did not know where to stop by but we looked up this place from near by restaurants. This is a small place and they have one waitress; however, she took our order right away. We waited for our food for about 10 to 15 minutes and had chips with salsa... More

On our trips between San Antonio and Houston, we often don't have time to eat, except for maybe a drive through such as Dairy Queen. We had a little extra time on this trip and decided to look for something new along the way. Tortillas were above average, chips and salsa were slightly below average, and the enchiladas were just... On our way from San Antonio to Galveston there is a few long stretches where you are in the middle of, well not much. We started looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast and after more than a few miles saw a little, dirt parking lot, older looking whole in the wall place just off the interstate. A... More

We got lost -as usual- Couldn't find any place to eat..and then..we saw this little Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere...Undoubtedly the best enchiladas in the world..steaming hot refried beans and rice... Bet the locals don't want you to find it. Was packed with locals...It was fantastic.

I have to say that this is probably one of the best Mexican food meals I've ever had. Everything was made from scratch. The chips were thick, warm, and crispy. The salsa was definitely homemade and it had a great texture and kick. The tortillas are thick and made to order. Everything we had was so good. Guacamole was great,... More
