So this family owner and operated place is a gem. The service is way above average, better than some 5 star places I've been! The portions are very generous and extremely tasty. Been to lots and lots of Italian, this is in the top 5...More

Oliva's is our place to take out-of-town guests when we don't want to overspend either time or money. You can always count on the food being excellent and the service being both friendly and competent. Ambience is better than average, but not so much that...More

What a warm welcome, what a good surprise when tasting "à la carte" dishes recommended by the owners themselves. There's no better Italian restaurant miles around, try it and you'll be a regular customer. If you're a cannoli lover, you'll not be disappointed! Good idea...More

A great place for a night out. This is our local favorite, and we can never go wrong here. Atmosphere is fantastic, and the food.... the best you can get on this side of the globe.

Great food, good prices and excellent Staff. This is definition of non chain family place. Love it. The lunch menu is such a great value. The marinara sauce is the best in town.

In town in business and after the Nascar race, we were starving. It took a while to get here but it was well done worth it! The service was young and attentive, the food succulent and flavorful! Traditional dishes from Italy with a twist. Big...More

OK - best meatballs I have ever had in Texas - I am fussy about meatballs. The marinara sauce is very good - chunks of plum tomato and very fresh tasting. I ordered the pasta trio - lasagna, mancotti, ravioli - cheese overload! The Puttanesca...More

I picked up takeout last night which included Tortellini Oliva with shrimp. I had double helpings last night and ate it for breakfast and lunch today. WOW is it wonderful. The other orders were also outstanding but the Tortellini was to die for. Be sure...More

Been seeing positive reviews of this place for a while but my wife and I were little skeptical about the place mainly because of the location. We decided give a try just past Friday night and it was spot on. We arrived little after 6PM...More

We have been going to this restaurant ever since they first opened on the corner of Beach and Timberland. The ambiance is perfect for couples wanting a quiet corner or families requiring extended tables. The food is terrific - haven't had a bad meal yet...More

Why does this place always make me feel unwelcome? The owner is a lunatic and the manager is a real prick too. Went in on a Sunday afternoon and my veal parmigiana was undercooked so I talked to the manager. He apologized, but nothing else happened. He smelled of alcohol and didn't seem to care. Hmm.. will I return? Unlikely.

You said this place ALWAYS makes you feel unwelcome, but it sounds like you've enjoyed it enough to return a few times. Something doesn't jive. We visited and enjoyed it. The service was great and the food was just fine... More
