We took family that was visiting to Cattleman's and then the rodeo. The food at Cattleman's is not great. In fact it's barely average. I think the price is high because it is in the Stockyards. I won't be going back.

First time visiting Fort Worth and was looking for that authentic Texas steak house. After walking around the stockyards I decided on Cattlemen's Fort Worth Steak House for dinner. The wait on the weekend was just about an hour. The place was packed and the bar was 4 rows deep of people waiting to be served. Once seated I thumbed... More

I have going to Cattleman's my entire life .....!! Over the years it has changed very little ... The decor is still " Early Stockyards " .... with pictures on the wall of almost every Bull that won the Grand Champion Award during the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show .. The steaks are still excellent and the Chicken and... More

We had family dinner here tonight after the Wild West Show. It was a easy 3 min walk, one block from the coliseum. Even though it was busy, we were seated right away and got to watch out steamed cooked right in front of us. I was blown away by the service and my sirloin steak just melted in my... More

Went there for lunch and it was great. One of the best chicken fried steaks in Texas. Served with rolls and cornbread, choice of potatoes. Open since 1947 that should tell you something.

Had the large bone in ribeye. Cooked perfect. Wife has ribs. Were very tender. Wait staff very good.

Visited during Spring Break in around 5 pm. Restaurant almost empty. Got seated in cold dark cave of a room on the rear of the building. Food very overpriced for the quality received. Waiter hovered, which drives me crazy. Won't return.

Prepare for a trip back to the 60's. The atmosphere is dark paneling, worn captain's chairs, paper place mats. BUT! the prices are way past modern levels. Big price w/o the pullthrough. Around the Stockyards area - if you ask, Cattlemens is the recommendation over H3 or Riskys. So, we tried it. NOW, on Mon and Tues a bottle of... More

I read the other reviews and thought this was going to be a great steakhouse. I have to say this is probably the worst steakhouse I have ever eaten at. I don't think the meat they serve is even choice beef. I would have to say it is either no roll or utility. I ordered their thick cut rib eye... More

This is our favorite casual steak house in The stockyards area. The food is always good and you can comfortably dress down. There are other more formal venues for steak in Fort Worth, but this is where we come to be comfortable and eat well.
