Dozier's has been here at least since the last ice age, offering barbecue, deer processing, and an odd assortment of groceries. As Houston metro creeps closer and closer to Fulshear, one wonders how long Dozier's will endure. In the meantime I come here for lunch every chance I get. I don't think it's the best barbecue ever, but I love... More

This is barbecue as it should be. It was smoked to perfection. I ordered ribs and sliced beef. Sauce is not necessary, the flavor is excellent.

I'm not sure how there have been so many positive reviews on this place but our lunch was inedible. The sliced beef had that rainbow sheen that I associate with Arby's. It tasted very old. The beans were straight out of a can, mac and cheese was bland, coleslaw was pale and watery. I never leave negative reviews. I just... More

Best chopped beef on the planet, and I've made the forty-minute drive from west Houston just for their potato salad. I'll do it again, too! Tables and counter service for their great barbecue.

It feels like time stood still years ago, tucked in a tiny grocery/meat processing place. It is not glamorous, nor is it pretty. But the service is quick and the bbq is authentic Texan and the specials are well priced. They have been around forever, a true institution of meat and barbecue experience. Please do grab a frozen goat milk... More

Get lunch here occasionally and it always super! Sliced brisket is always tender and condiments always fresh. Also get meat from their market and recommend the pork chops, thin and thick ones!

Legendary Dozier's! This is the real deal you just won't find better. I had a sliced brisket sandwich, 3 ribs and potato salad. The ribs were spectacular big and meaty with an awesome smoke ring and taste to match! The brisket sandwich? Any idea how hard it us to make brisket tender, moist and smokey? Easily the best I have... More

The food is good. The service is fast. The lines are short. They have been around a long time, and will be around a lot longer. If you are on 359 in Fulshear and have a barbecue need, they will satisfy it.

I have eaten at Dozier's all my life being from Houston, now I live a few miles away so I can eat here more often> I also buy their fresh meat and bacon regularly. The Evans brothers are not the original owners but still serve the original recipes. Quality Bar BQ and great fresh meat from their meat market. They... More

I discovered Dozier's Grocery some years ago by accident. I happened to be reading the Texas Monthly top BBQ joints in Texas and realized that Dozier's was about 7 miles from my front door. It is a small unassuming small town grocery store that also does deer processing etc. for those with a bent to hunting. Inside is a small... More
